TODAY?! Did Kat Von D just pull a Beyoncé on us? Did we just get Beyoncé-d?! Both the palette and release date make me wonder whether or not Kat Von D sat around and dreamed up the ultimate way she could give her fans a heart attack without announcing a new pregnancy.
This release also follows closely behind her announcement of the new Cake Liner.

Kat Von D just decided that in the interim, we're getting vegan, rainbow eye shadow because it's what we deserve?!
The Vegan Love Palette features 10 bold vegan shades, all safe for eye use, in a fresh formula that the brand has never included in any of its previous eye shadow palettes.
Kat Von D Beauty also humbly brags in the description that the purple and red shades you see actually symbolize a big feat for the brand since those hues are difficult to come by in a vegan formula.
Quality red and purple eye shadow pigments are actually difficult to create in a regular palette, so color me ultra-impressed.
Kat Von D is holding steady to her crown as Queen of Eye Shadows.
And this isn't a regular shimmery rainbow eye shadow palette. It's a cool palette with a variety of different finishes.

Let's just say she left a little more to be desired when it comes to swatching. She did explain on Instagram that she had a tough time shooting the shadows because the sunlight was so bright and the shimmers were so blinding.
The bright side is that we can see how the shadows will appear with a super-light blending situation.
Vegan Makeup Share also looked like she just had a really fun time with this new Kat Von D Vegan Love Palette.

I totally get why she felt the need to get her finger paint on. The shades are really pretty.
In true Kat Von D fashion, a portion of the Vegan Palette proceeds will go to a good cause.
"We love animals just as much as we love makeup, which is why we push the boundaries to create high-performance #VeganMakeup," the Kat Von D Beauty brand shared on its Instagram. "Pressed pigments in bold colors, all for a good cause – 20% of every palette sold benefits @MercyForAnimals."
The Mercy For Animals charity to which these palettes will contribute is actually an organization that Kat Von D has a longstanding relationship with.
She named Mercy For Animals her Charity of the Year recipient in 2018.
“I love what they do,” she told Allure. “I just feel so confident that when I donate money to them it's going to an actual cause and not just into people's pockets. Also, their voice in the animal activist world is a cool one. I think there's a lot of—without naming names—a lot of vegans that give vegans a bad name, you know?”
