People Think Morphe Might Own Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics Thanks To This Strange Detail

It's safe to assume that Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics will be under a microscope — literally and figuratively — for a long while. At first, it was just the lipsticks that fans were analyzing like crazy, but now fans, ex-fans, and unabashed critics are poring over loads of details to find anything that looks fishy.

To be balanced and fair, it's understandable that fans feel so unsure about Jaclyn Hill and her cosmetics brand that they feel compelled to side-eye every single detail. On the other hand, there are so many theories and speculations that it's hard to keep everything straight. What's true? What's false? What's a little in-between? Maybe we'll never know everything.

That said, one strange detail in the Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics paperwork has beauty fans thinking the brand could possibly be owned by Morphe — the brand Jaclyn Hill previously collaborated with on a series of successful and failed launches.

Let's spread these receipts out and see what's really going on.

The speculation about Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics possibly having a strange connection to Morphe stems from this paperwork. You'll have to look VERY closely to see what fans are calling out.

Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics published a 15-page PDF file on its website to disprove any claims that its faulty lipsticks posed a health threat. This screenshot posted on Twitter is from one of those documents with the test results. Fans are side-eyeing the word that's blacked out at the top right after the word "customer." It appears that the customer name blocked out is "MORPHE" in all capital letters.

If the name blocked out is indeed Morphe, then that would mean Morphe is the company that sought out the Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics tests.

If Morphe did get the lipsticks tested for Jaclyn Hill, then that could be an indication that the brand is part of Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics in some capacity. It could also simply mean that Morphe saw what was happening with Jaclyn Hill's brand and threw her a life raft by helping her get her products tested at a lab it knows and trusts.

Not everything is some deep conspiracy that leads to some damaging tea. Right?

Still, plenty of critics and ex-fans think this is evidence of yet another betrayal by Jaclyn Hill.

"Do a better edit job. You just exposed yourself. That says Morphe. No wonder they stood silent throughout all this. Good lord," another person wrote.

Critics don't trust the Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics documents at all.

"There’s a hidden PDF under the safety part. It also says Morphe under customer name. OOOOPS," one person pointed out. "Yeah, that's the one thing they're good at, huh? Hiding. Lots & lots of hiding," another responded.

It's safe to say Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics is going to have to work one million times harder to earn back consumer trust.

On another note, some critics suspect that Morphe could be behind the So Rich lipstick flop.

"I think Morphe has every reason for JHC to flop. She’s their biggest [seller]," another person speculated. Revelist must point out that there is absolutely no proof that Morphe Brushes is involved with Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics. There is also no proof at all that the brand would sabotage her company or that it even has the motive to do so.

Another skeptic 100% believes that Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics has no respect for its customers.

"After ALL OF THAT, they really think people are that stupid and naive. I mean, yeah, their blind and loyal stans for sure. But everyone else!? Why are they like this??" the person asked.

Sigh. Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics is in a nightmare position. Whatever moves it makes at this point will be analyzed and fleshed out on social media. Customer trust seems to be almost 100% depleted. If the brand bounces back from this, it will be the comeback of the decade.

So what happens if Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics IS owned by Morphe?

In some ways, we can assume that nothing will happen. After all, the brand is already in a very tough position where image is concerned. If there's a rock bottom in the beauty industry, this is very much it. Sure, people could question why Jaclyn Hill would go into business with Morphe in this way, especially given the questionable launches the two parties have shared in the past. Nevertheless, the damage is already done.

Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics just has to work super hard for everything else it does going forward. We're sending well wishes to everyone involved. Spend your money where you want to spend it. Don't spend it where you feel it shouldn't be spent. Share valid opinions. Leave the bullying out of it.

Be happy. Enjoy makeup. That's that.
