LeAnn Rimes’ Teeth Fell Out Mid-Concert But She Kept Performing Anyway

We’ve seen plenty of wardrobe malfunctions take place on stage over the years, but what happened to LeAnn Rimes this week might be the first dental malfunction. While the country singer was performing in Washington on Friday, her dental bridge fell out … and even though that would have been enough to make anyone shut down the whole concert, instead, LeAnn decided that the show must go on.

As the singer explained in a video she shared on Instagram, she was performing her song “One Way Ticket” at The Skagit Casino Resort when something happened that she described as a “first” in her career.

“I feel something pop in my mouth,” she said. “And if you’ve been around, you know I’ve had a lot of dental surgeries and I have a bridge in the front and it fell out in the middle of my song last night.”

Though she did take a minute to run to the side of the stage so she could “put it back in,” LeAnn is a professional, and let’s just say she really takes the saying “the show must go on” extremely seriously.

LeAnn tried to go back to singing like nothing had happened, but she quickly realized that her bridge still wasn’t staying in place and she’d have to “get real with everybody” so she could continue.

She had to use her finger to hold her teeth in “every couple lines” so she could keep going, with some songs on her set list presenting more challenges than others because of the “F” and “sh” sounds in them, like “Can’t Fight the Moonlight.”

But like the total class act she is, LeAnn managed to make it through the rest of the show, and now, her teeth are more securely in place … for now, at least.

LeAnn ended her video by giving fans who planned to see her perform at her next show a quick warning: “The front row — get ready for something to fly out. If you catch them, please return them.”

“Like I said, there wasn’t a f—ing thing I could do about it except either walk off, or just hold my teeth in and sing, so I just ran with it,” she said. “The show can go on, even in the midst of sheer, utter embarrassment. You just gotta be real with people.”

So far, things seem to be going much better for LeAnn. Earlier this week, she shared a video of herself singing in her dressing room, and zero teeth went flying, so hopefully she’s in the clear now.

It must have been a pretty embarrassing moment, but good for LeAnn for keeping a sense of humor about the incident.
