Hailey Bieber has already made headlines with the billion-dollar acquisition of her skin care brand, Rhode Skin, and now, she’s making waves again, teasing what could be a new product: a dainty, dangling waist chain that doubles as a lip gloss holder.
Bieber debuted the chain lip gloss holder on her Instagram page, where it received mixed reactions, with some people comparing the luxury item to a period hygiene product. (And honestly, not a bad business idea for the beach, if we’re being honest …)
“Why did I think that was a bedazzled tampon for a second?” posed one Instagram commenter.
“I thought the same,” agreed another.
“Omg the perfect tampon holder,” exclaimed @sophiahadjipanteli.
Other users just outright dissed the chain or expressed confusion on what Bieber was actually promoting with the picture.
“This is stupid,” wrote one user, adding a string of laughing emojis.
“Can’t figure what she’s selling? her body? bikini? lip balm???” asked another commenter.

The chain lip gloss holder is not on sale anywhere on Bieber’s site yet, but it appears she’s promoting it for the upcoming sale of her latest peptide lip tint in a new lemontini flavor.

The lemontini lip gloss is also part of Bieber’s larger collection of summery, lemon-themed products from blushes to skin glaze to another lip gloss holder that she debuted, this time for your phone, not your waist.
Her phone lip gloss holder was not as controversial as the chain lip gloss holder, but still, not everyone agrees it’s a practical use of one’s money.
