Five men in Atlanta have been arrested in connection with the killing of an infant girl. Ladarrius Brown is one of the men and was the first to be arrested. The infant was fatally shot outside an Atlanta area motel. Details are still emerging, but there was a confrontation between Brown and another man that led to Brown reportedly firing his gun and hitting the baby. All of the other men who have been arrested allegedly played a role in the killing or attempted to cover it up.
At roughly 8 p.m. September 23, 2025, police were called to an area motel for shots fired, Atlanta News First reported. According to police, the mother of a 9-month-old baby was the one to call 911. Officers said the baby “was beyond lifesaving measures” and declared her dead at the scene.
Shortly afterward, police arrested Brown, 22, as the first suspect in the killing. He has been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and is being held without bond, per Atlanta News First.

A witness who chose to remain anonymous spoke with the news outlet, relaying what she saw. “Somebody was trying to shoot at my friend, and as they were trying to shoot at him, they shot the baby,” she said. “It’s sad because I just met the baby, and the baby was really precious.”
Dessi Huntington, another witness who would babysit the girl, also spoke out. “No matter what, I would protect that child, and I blame myself,” she said. “Every time I try to stop thinking about her, I always hear her little squeals, her little laugh, no matter what I do.”
The following day, more arrests were made in connection with the killing, Atlanta News First reported. Police arrested 23-year-old Camron Harris, who allegedly took the gun from Brown and got rid of it, according to the warrant. Another man, 23-year-old Jayvian Young also was arrested.
According to Young’s arrest warrant, he assaulted Brown with the gun. The warrant states the altercation “did cause the death” of the infant, who has been identified as Aziah McDougle, per Atlanta News First. Young has been charged with murder in the commission of a felony, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Both men are being held without bond.
On September 26, two more men were arrested in the baby’s death. Martin Noah faces charges including felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, Atlanta News First reported. An arrest warrant for Eric Smith shows he’s been charged with evidence tampering.
