What to Know
In April 2025, a tragic car accident took the life of 2-year-old Preston Ordone, who was known as TikTok’s viral “Okay Baby.” In recent months, his mom, Katelynn Ordone, has been making a slow return to social media, and on January 21, she shared a heartbreaking post on Instagram including the 911 call she placed at the scene of the accident.
Katelynn was driving with her husband and Preston when they were in a single-car accident.
The video shows Katelynn in a car and reads, “When I zone out and people think I’m tired but really the worst day of my life plays over and over again.
We then see clips of the accident, Katelynn in the hospital, and footage from Preston’s funeral with the audio from Katelynn’s 911 call playing in the background. She can be heard saying, “I don’t even know where I am right now. I don’t remember” before breaking down into tears.
“This is the harsh reality of tragedy and grief that a lot of people don’t share,” she wrote in her caption. “I don’t have memory of the day but I was able to get all 911 phone call recordings.”
The accident took place on April 24.
As multiple outlets including People reported last year, Katelynn, her husband Jaelan, and Preston were all riding in the car together in Louisiana when their 2011 Ford F-150 veered off the road and struck a tree.
Preston’s cause of death was determined to be “blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle crash.” His older sister, Paisley, was not in the car at the time of the crash.
Both Katelynn and Jaelan were hospitalized with serious injuries after the crash.
She also shared a sweet way that she and her family have honored Preston.
Earlier this week, Katelynn shared a post revealing that she and her family had planted a tree in Preston’s honor on December 27, or what would have been his third birthday.
“Something we can nurture and watch grow each year, the way we would be watching you grow if you were still here with us,” she wrote. “It will never get easier not having you here, but I am deeply thankful for the support system that surrounds Paisley & I and for our faith in God knowing you are in a beautiful place.”
