Another day, another Duggar is being criticized for their parenting — and this time, it’s Jessa in the hot seat. After she shared new family photos on Instagram, critics are sharing their concern for her kids, with some saying that they all look a bit “unwell.” Is it just the way the gene pool worked out for Jessa’s kids, or is there something actually going wrong behind the scenes?
Jessa shared the new photos last week.
These days, it’s rare that we see Jessa and husband Ben Seewald together with all six of their children, but somehow, Jessa got the gang together to pose for photos in a field. Somehow, almost all of the kids are looking at the camera and smiling — quite a feat for any mom, let alone one who has six kids to worry about!
“Perfect-weather evenings = family walks on the Razorback Greenway,” Jessa wrote in her caption. “Scooters for the kids, fresh air for us, and a two-year-old who definitely did not approve of the group pic.”
Yeah, that last part sounds about right…
Duggar critics are raising concern that the kids look “unwell.”
We can always count on Reddit for their critical Duggar takes, and this time was no exception! In a post one of Jessa’s naysayers shared, they wondered if anyone else had noticed that her kids looked “unwell.”
“Their eyes are so dark and sunk, and I’ve never been one to care about messy hair for kids, but something is OFF about it. They just don’t look healthy, any of them,” the OP wrote.
Some people did agree with them, with one writing, “No they dont look healthy, the younger kids (plants and babies) look stressed and neglected. Neglect has many forms, Im not sure if its intentional but I can see Jessa emotionally neglecting the kids; we all see this when she [haphazardly] throws boxes of gifts at the kids. The kids are probably grasping for any ounce of emotional connection they can find.”
What some see as “sunken eyes” might just be a family trait, though.
Others in the post said that in Jessa’s baby photos, she seems to have the same eyes — could this just be hereditary?
According to Medical News Today, they can definitely be passed down from others in the family with the same trait, and that could be what’s happening here, especially since Jessa did look a lot like her kids when she was younger.
Hopefully, that’s the extent of what’s going on here. We just want everyone to be happy and healthy!
