If you dig deep enough into someone’s Instagram account, you’ll either find dirt on them or very dated posts that you can’t help laughing at. The latter is true for Erika Kirk, because Rebecca Black (yes, that Rebecca Black) posted on X that she found some pretty interesting photos on Kirk’s Instagram account when she scrolled down into 2018 and even before then.
Black’s post surprised plenty of people on the platform, most of whom left their own comments about Kirk’s appearance in response to Black’s assessment of Kirk once looking like a lesbian she herself would have flirted with once upon a time. Yeah, the photos are pretty different from what the world now knows of the Turning Point USA leader as today.

Kirk has never admitted to being lesbian, bisexual, or queer in any way. And Black’s comment about Kirk’s appearance is obviously meant to be a joke. No one should ever speculate on someone’s sexuality, which Black likely understands. But for many, people like Kirk are fair game since they tend to bring these sorts of comments upon themselves.
“While we’re on the topic why she look like a lesbian I would’ve flirted with during ladies night at the chapel in 2018,” Black posted on X. It was accompanied by two photos of Kirk sitting on some steps with a very wide stance and her feet planted flat on the ground. And, going back on Kirk’s Instagram, that seemed to be a trend for her back in the day. One of Kirk’s Instagram pictures from 2015 gives off the same vibe, and people replied to Black’s X post to agree with the “Friday” singer wholeheartedly.

After Black shared her X post, and kept it up for all to see, people replied with comments about how much they agree with her. They also joked about how Kirk looks in old pictures, long before she got married, had kids, and became a face of Turning Point USA. Sure, the religious aspect was always there for her, but according to some, so was a major lesbian vibe.
“This is some of the gayest s–t I’ve experienced and I’ve had DDs in my mouth,” one user joked in response to the X post.
Another person responded, “Her captions and poses were definitely giving futch energy.” In the LGBTQ+ community, “futch” is a word used to combine “femme” and “butch” to describe feminine and masculine traits in an individual.
“I thought this was JoJo Siwa at first glance,” another commenter shared.
An X user added, “I’ve never seen a straight woman moving like this.”
And, unsurprisingly, over on Reddit, in a post about Black’s post, people agreed that Kirk’s energy in the photos from her old Instagram posts are pretty sus.
“She looks like the generic CrossFit enthusiast that is waaaaay too into ducks and jeeps,” someone commented on the thread.
I mean, there are posts on Kirk’s Instagram from years ago that show her working out or running, so the fitness vibe does check out.
“She looks like she’d pitch a mean softball in these pics,” another user wrote in the comments.
There’s also a wild caption on one of Erika Kirk’s old Instagram photos.
As if the pictures themselves weren’t cringe enough for some people, one of the pictures of Kirk with her legs spread wide while sitting on steps has the caption, “…what she order? Fish fillet?” And no one thought that was a good idea.
“Do NOT post a picture of you with your legs wide ass open and caption it ‘what’d she order? Fish fillet?’,” someone advised on Reddit.
And on the X post that Black made with the photos in it, another person shared that same sentiment. They wrote, “Posting a pic with ur legs open and captioning it ‘what she order? Fish filet’ is actually INSANEEEE.”
