What to Know
Politicians, they’re just like us. They put on their pants one leg at a time and they too get DoorDash delivered before they make decisions that impact the United States and beyond. Just kidding on that last bit, but that’s what Donald Trump would have us all believe. Because in a White House post on X, Trump received a McDonald’s DoorDash order that is seemingly from an employee who delivered it on her route.
I love a Big Mac as much as the next person, but I’m not sure how that fits into the Male America Healthy Again agenda, as outlined by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. It does seem to be part of another agenda, though. One that involves Trump trying to appear as though he cares about the working class and anyone who isn’t in his immediate circle. Sure, Jan.
The McDonald’s order to the White House is clearly pandering to people.

While it’s fun to speculate on what Trump’s go-to McDonald’s order is and what was even in the bags delivered to the Oval Office in the video on X, people really can’t stand the photo op of it all. That’s one of the many issues with the White House’s post and how no one seemed to consider any negative connotations from Trump speaking with the DoorDash driver on-camera.
“An elderly woman is forced to work in the ‘gig economy’ with no benefits just to survive,” someone pointed out on X, of the older woman as the DoorDash driver in the video. “However, we can still subsidize other countries’ free education, healthcare, and slaughter of children.”

Another joked, “They gathered a press conference so Trump could advertise McDonald’s and DoorDash.”
“We have a grandma forced to work in her golden years dropping off burgers to billionaire presidents and you guys think this is good optics?” A commenter questioned.
Some also questioned if the video is real. But, for the most part, it seems to be. I’m not sure which is worse, if it was real or AI, but here we are.
Trump claims the DoorDash employee received a massive tax break.

Part of Trump’s reason, it seems, for meeting with the DoorDash employee, was to point out in the video how she already saved $11,000 in tips thanks to his Big Beautiful Bill. He briefly mentions that in the video, and he is only too happy to take credit for this alleged boom in the DoorDasher’s income.
Even if (and that’s a big ‘if’) this DoorDash employee was able to save that much money in untaxed tips under Trump’s presidency, it still shows a larger issue at hand that no one can really argue.
“Grandmas with husbands battling cancer shouldn’t have to DoorDash and be used for a publicity stunt to showcase $11,000 dollars,” a user wrote on X in response to the White House video.
As someone else commented on X, “Sad she has to work a contract job at her age with no health insurance, retirement or stability, but 11k is big money. ‘Later loser I had to go spend 500 billion on Israel and a war for my daddy Bibi.'”
“Using a hardworking driver as a prop while the broader economy hurts tipped workers most,” a user pointed out. “Many already pay zero income tax — so this ‘win’ skips them entirely. Pure distraction from failing on costs.”
He has a history of “lovin’ it” at this point.

Who knows? Maybe Trump arranged this publicity stunt just so he could get some McDonald’s delivered to the White House and gorge on a few 10-piece nugget meals. Did we all forget the shot of him and his political besties enjoying some McDonald’s on Air Force One? Clearly, McDonald’s holds a special place in his heart, even when he is cosplaying as a fry cook loading fries into cartons in other publicity stunts.
