Prince William’s ‘Glow Down’ Has People Comparing Photos From His Younger Years to Now

If you grew up as a millennial in the ’90s, you know a thing or two about Prince William in his youth. There might have even been some Teen Beat fold-out posters with his face on them, once upon a time. But now, as he is well into his 40’s, he is far from the teen heartthrob he was once, and people are making sure they talk about it ad nauseam.

In a post on Reddit, users discussed Prince William’s “glow down” and how he looks a lot different than he did when he was younger. That is to be expected, and it certainly comes with age. But those who follow the British Royal Family closely also notice every small change in any family member’s appearance. Now, they’re comparing old photos of Prince William to what he looks like now.

If you take anyone from their teen years and early 20’s and compare what they look like in their 40’s, after marriage, kids, and losing multiple family members, there will be a significant difference in what they look like. But tell that to the people who can’t get over how different Prince William looks in the present day compared to his Zoolander-style mogging from years gone by.

One person on Reddit suggested, “Shave the head, and get some Invisalign.”

Another added, “He really isn’t aging well, it guess pent up rage will do that for ya!!!”

Someone else joked, “He lives a hard life. It must be taxing having all those forever homes!”

The biggest reason some people give for dogging on what Prince William looks like involves that receding hairline. You know, the one that continues to reverse further and further, much like most of the men in the royal family. And there’s apparently no hair plugs or hair transplants allowed for the Windsors.

When it comes to Prince William’s teeth, that’s another matter. Critics joked that he “bares his teeth” in a “grimace” rather than smiles in public. Judging by photos out there of the future king, that seems to be accurate some of the time.

If you look at photos of Prince William over the years, you can actually see where and when he starts to show signs of aging. Mostly, it has to do with his time in college ending and his time as a respectable future king beginning. If we’re being diplomatic, Prince William’s so-called glow down might have just happened because of his busy life as a royal and the stress of having a family, dealing with public family feuds, and helping to run a country.

But for those who would rather be petty than diplomatic, Prince William’s change happened because of his personal choices and some bad luck (and genes).

Someone on the Reddit post suggested that Prince William’s skin suffered when he and Kate Middleton had public arguments in the early days of their relationship. Then, according to the user, things got progressively worse for Prince William.

“He began to seem like a complainer, who was cheating on his wife,” they claimed, though that has not been proven. “He was getting bald. But plenty of hot people are bald.” They added, “He couldn’t bring himself to go to Turkey and get hair implants? Why? He’s f–king around on his wife, so clearly he still wants to f–k, and be admired, yet he can’t overcome his ego to become beautiful?”

Don’t worry, because Prince Harry has his own haters who are often out for blood when it comes to the way he looks. On a separate Reddit post, users commented on how his looks changed over the years, how he lost hair himself, and why he slowly lost some of the luster that made him the cool bad boy Prince.

It isn’t even necessarily about the hair, though, as some claim Prince William might look better if he shaved his head completely. It’s the receding hairline that catches the men where it hurts. Hopefully the next generation of royals can beat the hairline gene that keeps coming for the men of the family.
