Jacob & Isabel Roloff Speak Out About Potentially Losing Their Home & Work at Roloff Farms

Earlier this year, Matt Roloff put the Little People, Big World family’s iconic Roloff Farms back on the market following years of drama involving his sons, who each seemed to want to buy the property but couldn’t make a deal with their dad.

Despite that, his son Jacob and his wife, Isabel, have been living and working on the farm over the past few years, but now that the farm could be sold soon, they’re opening up about how they really feel about losing their livelihoods in the near future.

Jacob responded to a fan who thanked him for keeping the tradition of Roloff Farms alive.

@jacobroloff Replying to @meganm0921 if only it could keep going! It’s a beautiful place and I had accepted very low wages with double the work on the notion that we could make it sustainable and last. Alas! #helvetiagardens is still mine, and I planted a lot of trees 👍🏻 #rolofffarms #fyp ♬ original sound – jacobroloff

Earlier this week, Jacob responded to a commenter on TikTok who praised him for his work on the farm, revealing that he isn’t actually keeping the tradition of the farm’s annual pumpkin season alive because he hasn’t been given the option to.

“Well, that sucks. I certainly tried to keep the tradition going,” he said. “There was nothing too distinguishing about our pumpkin patch beyond the show, so definitely wanted to get back to growing our own pumpkins, growing our own corn, doing a corn maze and things like that.”

He continued, “Couldn’t really get there with management, so, yeah, other things are happening, and I likely will not be here past January. Tradition [for] one more year! Come pick a pumpkin! See me!”

In his caption, he added that he had “accepted very low wages with double the work on the notion that we could make it sustainable and last,” but obviously, that didn’t work out like he hoped.

He also recently revealed just how little Matt was paying him to work on the farm.

Jacob opened up about the farm in a comment on Reddit, sharing that he was paid $22 an hour for working on the farm for the past four years while also paying $1,150 for the double wide his family lives in on the farm’s property.

“Can’t get a look at the books, can’t get any latitude for further events or development. Toxicity is finally getting to me, but it didn’t have to be this way,” he wrote. “It’s a beautiful property and a lot of the sacrifices in wages and time was worth it if we could keep it. I would happily work it for the rest of my life, and yet… asked to leave!”

Isabel isn’t happy about losing the farm, either.

According to Us Weekly, Isabel also responded to a fan who wrote, “I am sad to think you all won’t be there maybe next year.”

She replied, “Trust us, we’re sad too. All we can do is keep doing what we’re doing and hope it’s enough.”

This has to be a tough time for their family. It’s going to be sad to see the farm go!
