Kylie Kelce Says Childbirth Changed How She Feels About Being Bullied for Her Height

Sometimes, the things bullies say stick with you, even after years have gone by and your perspective on the situation has changed. On a recent episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast, Kylie Kelce revealed that she still remembers what a high school bully said to her throughout her junior year of high school — but she sees things a bit differently now after welcoming four children.

Kylie didn’t name names when talking about the high school bully, but she did share quite a few details about what happened. Apparently, this particular bully made fun of her for being tall — but now that she’s older, she’s realized that being a tall woman comes with some advantages.

She thinks childbirth was easier for her because of her height.

Kylie and her husband, Jason Kelce, have welcomed four daughters. On the podcast, she recalled going to see her doctor during her first pregnancy. According to her, a doctor working in that office noticed how tall she was and told her she would be just fine. And that ended up being true for her. Kyle is 5’11”.

“The first time I walked in my OB office when I was pregnant the first time around, one of the doctors walked past me. He was an older gentleman who, you know, had just seen everything under the sun. And he was like, ‘You’ll be fine,'” Kylie explained to guest Allison Kuch.

At first, she wasn’t sure whether the doctor was talking to her, but eventually she figured out what he was talking about. “He literally meant because I was so tall I would be fine,” Kylie recalled.

To be fair, he was correct.

“And you were,” Allison said. “And I was,” Kylie agreed. “Four times.” Allison, who is also tall, could relate to Kylie’s experience. And after growing up tall herself, she knew that other kids likely picked on Kylie in school because of her height. She joked that it was all worth it though because, at the end of the day, childbirth was easier.

“Honestly, the bullying in middle school was worth it if birth is that easy for me,” she said. “Oh my Gosh,” Kylie said in agreement.

The two women then started talking about bullying, and Allison asked Kylie if she ever got bullied in school. Kylie confirmed that she definitely had been bullied, and one particular bully stood out to her.

Apparently, the bully regularly said she was a man.

Now that she’s removed from the situation, Kylie can see that this particular bully was probably feeling insecure. Still, being made fun of because of your height obviously doesn’t feel good.

“There’s one individual — I refuse to say his name on this podcast — he called me a man almost every day of junior year,” Kylie revealed. “And I don’t know if it’s just that he was shorter than me or what.”

“It was clearly based on his own insecurities,” she continued. “But I will tell you what: I’ll take getting called a man every day of junior year just to have those children just walk clean out of my vagina.”

“They literally walk out,” Allison agreed.
