Blake Lively is the daughter of industry insiders Ernie and Elaine Lively. Both Ernie and Elaine were actors. Elaine also transitioned into talent management while Ernie put on a director's hat. Ernie gave Blake her big break in his 1998 film Sandman.
Blake went on to make a name for herself in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Gossip Girl. Beyond the screen, she is know for her impeccable taste in fashion. Here are 10 of her best looks over the years. And there are way more where these come from. (I mean, did you see her rock Britney Spears' vintage Versace gown?)
Gorgeous in Red
Let's throw it back to 2009. Blake attended the Emmy Awards and served as a presenter with Leighton Meester, her Gossip Girl costar. She looked fab while doing it in a red Versace dress which featured a high slit and daring neckline. She did Serena van der Woodsen proud.
Mermaid Vibes
In 2011 Blake graced the red carpet of the Time 100 Gala. She channeled her inner Ariel with newly dyed red hair. She pair her new locks with a Zuhair Murad gown which also gave serious mermaid vibes. Its seafoam color palette and flowy fabric made one think of the ocean.

2010 Met Gala
The Met Gala, which is held annually on the first Monday of May, is the Super Bowl of fashion. Blake has been a staple at the event since first attending in 2008 with her then-boyfriend Penn Badgley. In 2010, she rocked a lapis Marchesa mini-dress. The theme for the year was "American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity."
2011 Met Gala
After her blue patriotic period at the 2010 Met Gala, Blake was back the following year. This year's theme was "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty." It was all about honoring the British fashion designer and couturier. Blake did this by donning a Couture Chanel gown. The nude color and detailed embroidery work made her look like goddess.
Inspiration for Barbie
Not many women can say they have influenced the iconic children's doll, but Blake can. She played Ophelia "O" Sage in the 2012 Oliver Stone film Savages. It tells the story of two successful two marijuana growers who share a girlfriend, played by Blake, who gets kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel.
At the film's premiere, she wore a black striped Zuhair Murad gown and gave classic blond bombshell vibes. The dress and look were such a big hit that the designer made a version of the design for Barbie dolls.
2013 Met Gala
Fans saw a darker side of Blake at the 2013 Met Gala. The theme was "Punk: Chaos to Couture." Blake embodied this with a black strapless Gucci Première gown. The full skirt utilized feathers and organza to achieve an edgy appearance. Blake also rocked a smoky eye to complete look.
2014 Mel Gala
In 2014, Ryan Reynolds had entered the chat. Blake and Ryan's first big red carpet appearance was the Met Gala that year. The theme was "Charles James: Beyond Fashion" celebrating the American fashion designer. For the occasion, Blake wore a blush Gucci Première gown. It was tailored to perfection and featured a long train.
Keep It Gucci
This black and white Gucci Première dress almost made it to the Met Gala. Blake instead wore it to the 2014 Cannes Film Festival premiere of The Captive. She attended to support Ryan. It's one of her favorite dresses.
"It might be my favorite look I've ever worn," she gushed to People magazine. "I just love that old school glamour."
Maternity Looks
Blake knows how to rock a baby bump. She proved this in 2014 when she was pregnant with her first child. She wore a yellow dress from Gucci's Resort 2015 collection to the the Angel Ball in New York City. This form-fitting ensemble featured a plunging bejeweled neckline and long sleeves.
Age of Adaline
Bringing us back to red, in 2015 Blake rocked the color again. This time the hue came in the form of a Monique Lhuillier gown that featured many layers of ruffles. Blake slayed in it at the New York premiere of her film The Age of Adaline. This romantic fantasy flick tells the story of Adaline Marie Bowman, played by Blake, who after an accident stops aging at 29. The dress was just as timeless as the plot.
