A long as there have been celebrities, there have been celebrity feuds. Celebrity feuds, whether carried out through social media or PR statements or passive aggressive comments during interviews, can be awfully fun from a gossip perspective. Yes, we are nosy. No, we don't feel even a little bit bad about that! But as much as we love trying to figure out why two leads on a popular TV show apparently hate each other, we always hope that a celebrity fight never turns physical or violent.
The truth is that while we don't want to see anyone get hurt, sometimes celebrity fights do turn physical and can get downright violent (especially if the odious Chris Brown is involved, as we'll cover below). Fight in an Elevator
One of the all-time great celebrity mysteries is what happened in that infamous elevator with Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Solange! Almost everyone assumes it has to do with Jay-Z cheating (and thus inspiring the flawless Lemonade album) but what specifically prompted it? We'll probably never know, sadly.

The Oscar Fight
The 2022 Oscar slap was confusing at first as viewers first wondered if Will Smith and Chris Rock were doing some kind of bit. But then it became obvious that it was a real fight and became an instantly iconic Oscars moment, although one that resulted in Will getting banned from the ceremony the next year.
Keeping Up With Kim & Kourtney
Over the course of many, many seasons of their reality shows, viewers have seen Kim and Kourtney Kardashian bicker, fight, and even come to physical blows with each other over everything from video games to holiday cards to who is the most interesting to look at. We're still not convinced that these two are currently on good terms after all of the drama surrounding Kourtney's wedding.

It is hard to be on anyone's side when it comes to a fight with Chris Brown. Chris, who has a long and documented history of violence against women, is still apparently popular enough that other celebs come to his birthday party (gross). He's still violent enough though that he ends up physically fighting at his own party, this time with Usher. Everyone looks bad when they hang out with Chris Brown, in our opinion.
The Bar Brawl
Is anyone surprised to see that Chris Brown is on this list twice? In 2012, Chris and his entourage got into a brawl with Drake and his crew that ultimately resulted in five people getting injured and bottles flying in a club. Always classy, Chris.
A Royal Rumble
The Kardashians aren't the only famous siblings who have come to blows with each other, it turns out! One of the shocking revelations from Prince Harry's best selling memoir Spare was there was at least one incident of the temperamental Prince William losing it on his younger brother and attacking him during an argument. Not a good look for the future king!
Fashion Week Fights
New York Fashion Week is usually all about looking good and checking out the upcoming trends. In 2018, all of that fashion was overshadowed by a fight between two queens of hip-hop: Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. Cardi B allegedly threw a shoe a Nicki but she was seen leaving the incident with a big lump on her head.
Itching for a Fight in Ibiza
Back in 2014, a 20-year-old Justin Bieber apparently went to say hello to actor Orlando Bloom in a packed nightclub in Ibiza, Spain. Orlando wasn't a fan and ended up taking a swing at Justin, allegedly after Justin said something about Orlando's ex-wife Miranda Kerr. Messy, messy!
It Girls & Frenemies
Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton were the best of frenemies in the early 2000s, alternating between periods of friendship and cat fighting with each other in the media. Their fights were usually just words and gossip, but in 2006, Lindsay alleged that Paris hit her in the arm and spilled a drink on her. The two have since patched things up and blame their past beefs on immaturity.
Throwing Hands at the VMAs
There was major red carpet drama at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards when professional fighter Conor McGregor and singer Machine Gun Kelly got into a heated fight. MGK's girlfriend Megan Fox tried to intervene and security folks had to hold Conor (who also appeared to throw a drink as well as hands) back.
Beef About a Chair
Pink and Christina Aguilera may have sounded great together on their hit song Lady Marmalade but the two weren't the best of friends as they feuded over a chair and who got to sing the high notes in the song. Things even got so heated that Pink has shared that Christina even took a swing at her in a club!
On Set Fight
There was never any shortage of drama on Grey's Anatomy, both on and off screen! In 2007, stars Patrick Dempsey and Isaiah Washington got into a physical altercation that ultimately led to Isaiah being fired for his actions and for using a homophobic slur.
Old-School Fights
All the way back in 1983, two of Hollywood's top stars, Tom Cruise and Robe Lowe, got into it while filming the movie The Outsiders. According to Rob, "We all beat the living s— out of one another. We really did. I got one clean shot on Tom, and Tom is such a competitive lunatic — which is what I love about him — but the next thing you know he's ready to kill me!"
Not So Funny at SNL
A bad combination of egos, fame, and some backstage drug use led to a 1978 brawl behind the scenes at Saturday Night Live. Bill Murray and Chevy Chase got physical with each other with John Belushi also catching some blows along the way.
Any Given Fight
In 1998, LL Cool J and Jamie Foxx were costarring in the football film Any Given Sunday when their off-screen trash-talking ultimately led to them getting into a physical fight after filming one of the intense football sequences. Sounds like egos were on high alert that day!
The Knock Out
Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy once got into a fight while filming the movie Lawless and, depending on who tells the story, it was either a wrestling match that went wrong when Tom accidentally fell down some stairs or LaBeouf knocked Hardy out cold.
