Royals ā they're just like us! Err ā¦ apparently in some ways they are. Even though they have jam-packed schedules and three young children to attend to, Prince William and Kate Middleton still manage to squeeze in regular date nights, and their preferred choice of activity makes them more relatable than we ever would have imagined.

A source close to the couple dished their date night details to Us Weekly.
The insider said they keep things surprisingly low-key. "Kate loves nothing more than ordering Indian takeaway and eating it from a dinner tray on the couch while watching a bit of Netflix with William. [They] used to catch up onĀ Game of ThronesĀ together every couple of weeks, and most recently they bingedĀ Bodyguard," they explained.
Hold up. Kate and William get their Netflix and chill on?! Is this real life?
Of course, date nights at home probably feel like a vacation to these two.
It's not like they can just pop into the pub down the street to enjoy a couple of pints and a burger without having a bunch of prying eyes and security in tow. So eating takeout on the couch while staring at the tube is probably about as good as it gets in their eyes.
Given all of the rumors in the media these days, it's not surprising that they want to lay low.
Whether there is really any truth to the talk of William cheating on Kate with her friend Rose Hanbury is anyone's guess, but it can't be easy for them to have to deal with stories like this floating around.Ā
Kate is said to be very hurt by the rumors and worries about Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis reading them someday. However, apparently she and William have taken a step back and reevaluated their marriage, and the whole scandal may have brought them even closer together. Always a silver lining.
As for when Kate and William do get out of the house for a legit date night?
Ah, yes. That's when we're reminded just how royal they really are. Red carpets and evening gowns are pretty darn different than two-for-one margarita nights at Chili's in a pair of distressed blue jeans.
The royal couple recently enjoyed a night out at the BAFTAs.
And sure, it was ostensibly a work event but they managed to get in some couple connecting time, too. Like this moment when Kate was spotted giving William a little "love tap" on the bum while walking the red carpet. We love seeing them act like any other husband and wife in love!
