Those who tuned into 19 Kids and Counting and its spinoff, Counting On, know that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar and their children have weathered many controversies. Unfortunately, relationships among the siblings and between the kids and parents have changed through the years. (And not always for the better.) Despite that, all nine Duggar sisters recently reunited for super rare photos for the holiday season.
But first, let’s do a recap of Michelle and Jim Bob’s daughters in birth order. There have Jana, 34; Jill, 33; Jessa, 32; Jinger, 31; Joy-Anna, 27; Johannah, 19; Jennifer, 17; Jordyn, 16; and Josie. 15.
Jinger and her family moved from Texas to California, and Jana relocated to Nebraska with her husband, Stephen Wissmann, in recent years. But all of the Arkansas-native Duggar sisters gathered in one place ahead of Christmas Day 2024 – and they’ve got the pictures to prove it.

All nine Duggar sisters posed for rare photos with their mom, Michelle, for the holidays.
Joy-Anna took to Instagram on December 22, 2024, with a video showing all nine Duggar sisters posing for photos with Michelle. “How does my mom not age?❤️,” she wrote in the caption of her update before tagging her younger brother who had captured the moment. “Also, thanks @jamesaduggar for the excellent videography. 😉.”
Brother James was the man behind the camera.
“When all 9 sisters are back together,” Joy wrote in overlain text on the video. In the montage, the sisters stood while posing in a line before Michelle joined them. Their younger brother, James, also recorded close-up clips of each sibling for the Instagram post.
In the comments, Instagram users couldn't believe how youthful Michelle looked.
“My beautiful mama in the middle, how does she not age?” Joy-Anna later wrote in the video.
Based on the Instagram comments, fans resoundingly agreed. One person wrote, “But for real! You’re mom still looks the same! 😮,” while another echoed, “Wow! Michele you are ageless! Just beautiful!”
Someone else declared, “I think mama is getting younger!”

Others were simply thrilled to see the Duggar girls all together again.
Many of Joy-Anna’s other followers appreciated the rarity of the Duggar sisters being able to reunite despite their differences and the distance.
One Instagram user commented, “Love your mama and you girls! I love that you are all different and you stay true to who you each are ❤️.”
A different fan wrote, “So neat seeing all you girls together! Thanks for sharing, Joy!! ❤️.”
Yet another follower shared, “You are all beautiful and it is so great to see you all together. As the mom of a large family, I am always so excited if we all happen to be together in one place. It’s a rare and difficult occasion with everyone living in different states, so it’s so nice when we can make it happen. ❤️❤️❤️.”
Additionally, the family may have been celebrating Jinger's birthday.
Jinger (Duggar) Vuolo turned 31 on December 21. So her birthday was likely another reason for the sisters to get together ahead of Christmas. Jill also reshared Joy-Anna’s video in her Instagram Story, adding, “💓 Happy birthday Jinge @jingervuolo.”
Hopefully, the Duggar sisters and the brothers (aside from oldest brother Josh, who is in prison) are all able to reunite for the holidays!
