Fans Slam Anna Duggar’s Controversial New Business: ‘So She Started a Puppy Mill?’

Anna Duggar may become a businesswoman while her husband Josh continues to serve out his prison sentence. This week, the couple learned that Josh’s latest appeal to have his sentence overturned was denied by the US Supreme Court, and he will be expected to serve his 12-year sentence as ordered. With seven kids to financially support and the Duggar family no longer able to rely on those sweet reality television paychecks to pay the bills, Anna has no choice but to get a job. With limited skills, Anna doesn’t have a ton of options for work, but it looks like she's taking a stab at it anyway.

Anna has registered a new business in Arkansas.

At the end of May, Anna registered a new business venture in her home state of Arkansas called Golden Grove Pups. According to RadarOnline, the limited liability company is still in good standing since Anna’s filing. The news outlet also shared that Anna used Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s address in Tontitown to register the LLC.

The business details are still unclear.

Anna is listed as the only organizer of Golden Grove Pups, and although the business model isn’t clear yet, based on the name, it likely has something to do with dogs. Duggar critics on the popular Reddit thread DuggarsSnark have also gotten ahold of the information and believe that Anna is getting into the dog breeding business.

People are ripping Anna apart for this choice.

“So she started a puppy mill? That seems like it is right on brand,” one commenter wrote.

“Breeding is all she knows how to do,” another comment read, to which someone replied, “If I can't get pregnant, I'll get my dog pregnant.”

One person mocked the child-rearing choices of the Duggars, writing, “It's fine. The 7 week old dogs can train and health test the newborns. They'll call it the puppy system. Male dogs will be allowed to do whatever all the time and female dogs will be punished harshly until they learn to be submissive.”

Many think this is just another shady Duggar business.

“Like, did she wake up one morning and be all, ‘What, besides sticking with my pedo, felon husband, would be the worst, most despicable thing I could possibly do? Oh, I know! Operate a puppy mill!’” another commenter wrote.

Some people also voiced their concerns based on the Duggars’ previous business endeavors.

“Do we think it’s another way for Jim Bob to hide money? I cannot imagine her giving any s—s about puppies. She abandoned her kids with their aunt to sit with her felon husband in someone else’s house,” a comment read.

“The irony that she can’t keep popping out kids because her husband is in jail, so she resorted to popping out puppies," another person wrote. "I feel bad for any dog who is owned by the Duggars. Hope this isn’t the next big criminal scandal coming out of the Duggar compound.”

Josh Duggar isn't coming home anytime soon.

This news comes days after Anna’s husband Josh Duggar’s latest appeal was denied by the Supreme Court. Josh’s legal team has been appealing his conviction of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse materials since his 2021 trial, after which he was sentenced to 12 years behind bars, but now, it seems they've reached the end of the road.

Maybe now Anna's finally starting to hash out her plan B?
