After two years of silence, Anna Duggar has returned to social media. Anna went silent online in June of 2022 in the wake of husband Josh Duggar's sentencing after he had been convicted of possessing child sexual assault materials. Naturally Anna, along with many other members of the Duggar family, began to disappear from social media to avoid further scrutiny from people who have a lot of feelings about Josh’s behavior and trial. That’s why it was shocking to see her suddenly posting anything. And not just anything but an incredibly controversial take on current events. It’s hard to know why Anna used politics to mark her return to social media, but people are not having it.

Anna shared her thoughts on X (formerly Twitter).
Anna suddenly returned to the platform to open up about former president Donald Trump’s current legal case.
“Who knew it only took twelve votes to prematurely deliver the win for a presidential election?!?! #TrumpHasWon,” she wrote.
Her return to social media was surprising, but her followers weren't necessarily happy to see her.
Most of the responses intended to call out Anna for her opinion, and people did so quickly.
“A woman who’s married to a sexual predator and rapist, supporting a sexual predator and rapist. Shocking,” someone replied.
“You’re worried about the wrong things, honey,” another person tweeted.
“Your husband is a pedophile,” someone else wrote on X.

Anna probably should have reconsidered her words.
“Isn’t your husband a convicted owner and lover [of] child p0rn? You have much more to worry about,” one person wrote.
“Anna Duggar sat silent as her husband Josh molested little girls, cheated on her with sex workers, had a ton of CSA but raises her voice after two f—ing years for Trump? Says everything you need to know about her,” popular account Ask Aubry tweeted.
“The fact that THIS is what she decided to tweet about for the first time in years. ‘Cause you know she stopped around the time her husband was imprisoned for being a child predator,” another person tweeted.
Trump was recently convicted on criminal charges.
On May 31, the former president was found guilty on all 34 charges of illegally influencing the 2016 election by offering a porn star hush money to keep their sexual encounter quiet. Falsifying business records could mean up to four years in jail, but right now, it's unclear if Trump will actually face time behind bars. His sentencing is scheduled for July 11.
Could Anna's return to social media mean something bigger?
Anna isn’t the only Duggar who’s recently returned to social media after nearly two years away. Jana Duggar returned to Instagram in May, sharing photos of her garden and a Mother’s Day tribute for mom Michelle. Some people believe this could mean the family is planning to return to TV soon — or that they have another project up their sleeves.
