It’s hard to believe that Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter is 17! Dannielynn, Anna Nicole’s only daughter and only child with Larry Birkhead, was born in the Bahamas 17 years ago. Sadly, Anna Nicole died when her daughter was an infant. Dannielynn has been raised by her dad ever since, and they lead a relatively quiet life. To celebrate his daughter’s birthday, Larry shared an Instagram reel featuring Dannielynn over the years, including a couple of pictures of her as an infant with Anna Nicole.

Larry made a point to mention Anna Nicole in his tribute.
“Happy 17th Birthday Dannielynn! I am so proud of you in each and every way. Wishing you the best day ever! You are funny, crazy smart, pretty and just about everything I could ever imagine,” he wrote in his caption.
“Your Mom would be so proud of you, I sure am. Happy Birthday!” he added.
Dannielynn looks so much like Anna Nicole.
Even though Dannielynn was only a few months old when Anna Nicole died, Larry says that the similarities don’t end at their faces. “She can spend my money like her mom. And she loves to do that,” he told the Daily Mail earlier this year.
Larry also told People that Dannielynn is “generous like her mom,” adding, “And at the same time, she’s a picky eater like her mom. Oh, my gosh!”
Larry is doing his best to raise Dannielynn.
In his birthday post, he wrote, “by the way, when you asked me if you could live in my basement forever. I said yes, but I didn’t have the heart to tell you there aren’t any basements in Florida,” which goes to show how close they are.
“I’ve created such a foundation for that I’ve given the tools to say, look, this. Life is normal now,” he told the Daily Mail.
Dannielynn seems to be thriving.
Dannielynn sounds like a pretty awesome kid, according to her dad — and surprisingly down to earth, even though she grew up in some extraordinary circumstances.
“She is not one of these entitled celebrity kids. She’s gone to a public school all her life. That’s what she chose. She said I want to go to public school and not to private,” Larry said in the same Daily Mail interview. “Dannielynn is on the honor roll and she makes great grades. She is taking college level classes. Anna would be very, very proud of her. I know I am.”
She is gearing up for her senior year.
Back in May, Larry told People that Dannielynn is “dipping her toe” in the world of college planning, though Larry seems reluctant to think about her growing up and leaving the nest.
“It’s one of those things that all parents go through. They don’t want their kids to go off, but they know they have to,” he said.
