Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s 2016 divorce filing came as a shock to many of their fans. They seemed to be a picture perfect couple, raising their brood of six kids: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne. But since they went their separate ways, some truly disturbing details have come out about the end of their marriage. Angelina has taken Brad to court, alleging that he physically and emotionally abused her and that he also physically assaulted their children on a plane. Now it seems that son Pax is confirming Brad’s “despicable” behavior in an Instagram post from 2020 that has recently started circulating online.

Pax wrote the Instagram post when he was 16, four years after his parents filed for divorce.
The Daily Mail reported on the post, which Pax shared on his private Instagram Stories on Fatherâs Day 2020 when he was 16. He shared a photo of Brad accepting his Oscar for his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
“Happy Fatherâs Day to this world class a–hole!! You time and time again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person,” he began the caption.
The teen held none of his feelings back.
“You have no consideration or empathy toward your 4 youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence,” the now 19-year-old continued, referring to his four younger siblings. “You will never understand the damage you have done to my family because you’re incapable of doing so. You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell. You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want, but the truth will come to light someday.”
“So, Happy Fatherâs Day, you f—ing awful human being!!!” he wrote.
Brad hasn't spoken about the post, but those close to him say his continued silence says more than he can.
After Paxâs comments went viral, someone claiming to be close to Brad told The Sun, “Brad has great respect for all of his children and itâs depressing to see this dragged up.”
A different source close to Brad told Page Six, “Itâs been a long seven years and itâs unfortunate when people unnecessarily raise issues from so far in the past … and donât take into consideration the impact it has on the whole family.”
Both sources agree that Bradâs silence regarding his children says everything the public needs to know.

Pax, as well as his two adopted siblings, don't seem to have a relationship with Brad after the divorce.
Multiple news outlets have reported Brad has not been seen publicly with any of his children since 2016 when Angelina filed for divorce. An insider told The Sun that Brad has no contact with Pax, Maddox, or Zahara because they are reportedly “totally in support of their mother and Brad doesnât hear from them these days at all â certainly not the boys, and itâs been that way for a very long time.”
He does occasionally see the biological kids he shares with Angelina, but because of custody agreements, he has to have preplanned visitation with the children who are still minors.
Zahara also gave some insight into her relationship with Pitt recently.
When Zahara pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College this month, her lack of relationship was evident. The teen announced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie, noticeably leaving off her dad’s last name.
In 2021, Us Weekly reported that Maddox “doesnât use Pitt as his last name on documents that arenât legal and instead uses Jolie.” An insider also claimed “Maddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesnât support.”
