Britney Spears Spotted in Public for the First Time Since Publishing Her Explosive Memoir

Now that Britney Spears has had the chance to share her truth with the world in her memoir, The Woman in Me, it looks like she may be happier than ever. On Saturday, Britney was photographed while out and about in California for the first time since her book was released in October, and fans can't stop talking about her transformation. Brit's been through a lot in her life — especially in recent years — so it's a relief to see her smiling again.

Britney was pictured out with her dog, Snow.

As Page Six reported, Britney was seen in West Hollywood as she and friend Cade Hudson were heading to Chateau Marmont together. Wearing a form-fitting orange dress, the "Gimme More" singer was all smiles and didn't seem bothered in the least by paparazzi snapping photos of her.

This is probably a pretty happy time in Brit's life.

After battling her conservatorship for years, Britney is now free — and the dust from her unexpected divorce from Sam Asghari is likely settling, too. Now that her book is out, she's finally had the chance to speak out on so many difficult parts of her life in the spotlight … and she knows exactly how much support she has from her fans, considering the fact that the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

After all, her book did sell more than one million copies in the first week alone.

Fans are already gushing over the new photos.

Britney's fans flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to rave about how happy they are that Britney herself looked so happy over the weekend, especially because sightings like this of the pop star are rare.

"She seems very happy. I am glad Britney is back in control of her world," one person wrote, while another added, "She looks radiant! Free!"

Britney reflected on the process of writing her memoir just days earlier.

Sharing some throwback photos of herself during fittings for her music video for "Overprotected," Britney wrote about keeping her past in the past, even as she talks about it now.

"My book has a lot of sad stories and drama in it … I’m sure some are aware of that but just know there are tons of other beautiful and good stories in #TheWomanInMe but that’s not what the media decides to pick up all the time !!!" she wrote. "It is what it is … so going forward just know that was me then … that’s the past and this is me now !!! To the good stuff and a little nasty too."

It's good to see Britney enjoying her life.

The road hasn't always been easy for her, but it's good to see her finally having the chance to experience the kind of freedom she could only dream about for so long.

Meanwhile, if she wants to publish another book, it looks like fans are definitely here for more stories from Brit's life — the good and the bad.
