Cardi B Slams Stepson of Missing Billionaire as Search for Titanic Submersible Continues

Brian Szasz’s post about attending a Blink 182 concert while the world searches for his billionaire stepfather, Hamish Harding, who is lost thousands of feet under the ocean, has garnered a lot of attention. People are calling the 37-year-old out online for his callous attitude about the missing men, including rapper Cardi B, who blasted Brian online for his tasteless post.

Brian shocked people on social media when he posted about his concert plans.

In a since-deleted Facebook post, Brian shared how he was going to San Diego for a music show while the search for his stepdad, Hamish Harding, and four other men aboard the lost Titan craft was underway.

“It may be distasteful being here but my family would want me to be at the blink-182 show as it’s my favorite band and music helps me in difficult times,” he wrote alongside a smiling photo of himself at the concert.

Cardi B blasted Brian in a video that quickly went viral online.

Obviously people had some thoughts about Brian’s decision to go to a concert while his stepfather was lost at sea, including Cardi, who pretty succinctly explained what was wrong with the situation.

“One of the billionaires, their stepson is at a concert right, at a Blink 182 concert,” she said in the video, which features a pretty creepy filter.

“And people are like ‘erm what is he supposed to do, be sad at the house, is he supposed to go look for him himself?’ Yes!”

She continued her rant by pointing out how she'd rather be poor than have family who didn't care about her.

“You are supposed to be at the house sad, be crying for me, you are supposed to be right next to the phone, waiting to hear any updates about me,” she went on. “Isn’t that sad that you are a whole f—ing billionaire, and nobody gives a f— about you?”

She ended her video by saying she’d rather be “broke, and poor then like knowing I’m loved.”

Her words resonated with fans, who also shared their thoughts about Brian’s behavior, which has come under scrutiny by many others.

Several other people posted about the situation, sharing their thoughts.

One Twitter user likened the real-life situation to the fictional one that played out on HBO’s Succession, pointing out how extreme wealth can change your perception of reality.

Others cracked jokes about the whole thing.

“If I’m ever a billionaire trapped in a life-or-death situation, you have my permission to cyberbully my spoilt stepson for going to a Blink-182 concert while information on my safety is still unknown,” one person wrote. “It’s what I would have wanted regardless of the outcome.”

Although people were quick to make jokes about the absurdity, they definitely recognize the risk involved.

Harding and the others are in a race against time. As of Tuesday evening, they were believed to only have 40 hours of air left in the submersible, which some experts were worried may have become compromised because of the intense amount of pressure at the depths it would need to reach to view the RMS Titanic‘s wreckage.

We continue to hope for a happy ending for this story.
