Being a mom on the internet isn’t always the easiest thing in the world, and that seems to be even more true for celebrity moms, who frequently have to deal with judgy comments and online haters thanks to living in the spotlight. Word to the wise: Chrissy Teigen is not the one you want to mess with. After a troll accused her of having kids to “stay relevant,” Chrissy had the perfect sassy (and hilarious) comeback ready and waiting.

The situation unfolded on a popular Instagram account.
The account Comments by Celebs shares screenshots of celebrity comments on various Instagram posts, and this week, it shared Chrissy’s response when husband John Legend posted a birthday tribute to their oldest daughter, Luna, who just turned 8.
Because John called her “the best daughter we could ask for,” Chrissy responded with a joke about their younger daughter. “Just read this to Esti,” she wrote.
One commenter wasn't impressed.
Tagging both Chrissy and John in the comment, the Instagram troll accused them of “always trying to stay relevant by talking and keep on having kids.”
Although Chrissy and John are now parents of four — Luna, Miles, Esti, and Wren — this is a very bold claim for someone to make about another person’s choice to have multiple children.
Chrissy wasted no time clapping back.
Responding directly to the comment, Chrissy wrote, “yes very bored and need attention and there is no other way in the world to get it than having kids.”
LOL! She does have a point there. Although having kids will get you plenty of attention (from the kids), it’s not exactly the easy road to take …

Commenters loved Chrissy's comeback.
One person wrote in a reply to Chrissy, “Oh yes, because none of the other parents I know ever post photos of their children on Instagram or Facebook and talk about how proud they are of them, literally no one else is doing this, just these two famous people, no other parents ever.”
“People suck. Don’t listen to this ignorant fool,” another person wrote.
Chrissy's used to these kinds of comments by now.
That doesn’t make them OK, though — and it’s hard to blame her if she gets a little sassy when she has to deal with trolls, especially over something as simple as a birthday Instagram post for her daughter.
Here’s hoping her comment served as a reminder that being kind is always the best policy when interacting with people online, famous or not.
