A new sneak peak of The Flip Off has some fans celebrating Christina Haack’s split from her husband Josh Hall. Josh and Christina announced their split in July 2024, but they had already started working on their latest HGTV series together. Originally, they planned on competing against Christina’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his current wife, Heather El Moussa. After their split, Christina, Tarek, and Heather decided to move forward without Josh, but he has still appeared in some clips used to promote the new show, and the latest is a doozy.

The new sneak peek is difficult to watch.
A new sneak peek shared by HGTV shows Josh and Christina in the car together before their split. During the tense moment, Christina didn’t say much, and it was more than a little awkward.
âThis is a competition. We gotta pull out all stops. Whatever it takes to win, Iâll do it. Halls rule!â Josh said while driving. He looked over at Christina, who remained silent, and added, “Youâre supposed to say it with me, or repeat it, or something that shows that youâre with me.”
He then criticized her and told her to not 'get confused' about her last name.
“Remember, youâre a Hall now,” Josh told Christina. “Donât get confused in this competition about what your last name is.” When Christina continued to stay silent, Josh said, “Youâre rude.”
Christina responded with, “I donât over talk.” Josh shot back with, “Yeah, the s— you say and Iâm just like, ‘I wish sheâd shut up already.'” Christina sighed in response, and Josh said, “My wifeâs p—ing me off already.” Before the end of the clip, Christina simply asked, “Are we there yet?”

Reacting to the video, many fans jumped to Christina's defense.
After watching the uncomfortable interaction between the former couple, some fans said they were glad Christina and Josh split up.
“Christina you deserve WAY better than him, glad heâs gone,” one fan wrote.
Another commented with: “This is hard to watch. The way he speaks to her hurts my heart.”
“Wow. That was rough to watch,” a third person wrote. “Abuse comes in many different varieties.”
Some noticed the difference between how Josh spoke to Christina versus how Tarek spoke to her.
After the tense car ride, the sneak peak cut to a scene in which Tarek walked into Christina’s house and sensed that something was wrong. She then told him that she and Josh had “officially split up.”
The same interaction was featured in a different promotional video that was already released. In the longer version of the scene, Christina and Tarek also addressed their relationship issues.
Commenting on the recent clip, fans noticed the apparent difference between Josh and Tarek. “The difference between how Josh spoke to Christina versus how Tarek spoke to Christina is incredibly telling,” one person wrote. “SO HAPPY Christina left Josh and remains on good terms w Tarek and Heather.”
Heather also reacted to the clip on Instagram.
Heather (who is also competing on the show) expressed her support for Christina by commenting on the video. “Not everyone makes the cut â and thatâs the real reality,” she wrote.
Christina previously revealed that Josh seemed jealous of Tarek.
Fans also noticed that Josh seemed jealous of Tarek in The Flip Off promo.
“Him saying Christina shouldn’t forget what her last name is scream insecurities,” a fan commented. “Clearly he didn’t trust Christina around Tarek, why I don’t know.”
Previously, Christina opened up about how Josh felt about Tarek. “He doesnât like our dynamic, because Tarek and I have our own dynamic, and some could call it âflirty,'” Christina told ET. However, she described their dynamic as more of “a sibling type of thing.”
