Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son Archie is almost 2 years old, but we’ve still only seen a handful of photos of him throughout his little life. The famous couple is notoriously private, but they did release a couple of new images recently to celebrate their Oprah interview and Meghan’s second pregnancy. In honor of finally getting new Archie content, we’ve rounded up his best and cutest pics from all time.
Most of them are from when his parents were still working royals. Back then, they followed all the protocols, like a post-birth photo shoot, a christening portrait, a royal tour, etc. Since leaving England, the Sussexes are more private, but they have shared a few updates over the months. Meeting the Queen
Some people never meet the Queen, but Archie did within his first few days on earth. Her majesty is supposed to be first to learn of all royal baby news, so she was also among the first family members Archie met. With her was Prince Phillip and also Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland. Such a happy family affair.
Tiniest feet
For her first Mother’s Day as a mom herself, the Duchess of Sussex posted this cute photo on Instagram. What many people might not know is that it also pays tribute to Princess Diana. The flowers behind Archie’s little feet are forget-me-nots — Diana’s favorite flower. What a sweet nod to Harry’s mom on Mother’s Day as well.
Chilling with Dad
On Father’s Day 2019, we finally got our first good look at Archie’s face. He peeked out behind his dad’s hand in this cute picture. He was only about a month old here, and still so tiny. His whole fist can grab only one of Harry’s fingers! The prince must have had such a special Father’s Day as a first-time dad.
Special day
Archie’s christening was a whole royal affair. He got to wear the special lace gown that all his cousins wore on their own christenings, and the royal family all turned out for the occasion — including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and two of Princess Diana’s sisters. Only the Queen couldn’t make it.
Sleeping
Taken the same day of his christening, this photo captures the true love that exists in this family. Archie napped peacefully during the photo shoot as Harry gazed down at him and Meghan gazed happily at her husband. They may have felt isolated within the royal family, but at least they always had one another.
Unreleased photo
Although this picture was also taken during Archie’s christening, fans didn’t see it for months. Meghan later posted it on Instagram as part of a birthday tribute to Prince Harry. “Your service to the causes you care so deeply for inspires me every day. You are the best husband and most amazing dad to our son. We love you,” she wrote.
