Denise Richards knows the struggle of being a mom, especially to kids who are old enough to make their own decisions. As mom to two daughters with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, Sami and Lola, she is trying to balance motherly advice with giving them the space to be their own people. Denise recently opened up about Sami’s desire to have breast implants and her reasoning for trying to talk the 19-year-old out of going through with the procedure. Sami also got candid about why she wants breast implants in the first place, and it has to do with her mom.

Denise has issues with her own breast implants.
Denise got honest about her hesitation to give Sami her blessing to have breast augmentation surgery. "I’m trying to talk her out of it because, and the reason why I’m getting them out, is I didn’t know how toxic [they are] when I was 19," Denise explained during an interview with Bustle. "And it’s not an easy surgery. It’s painful!"
Sami envied her mother's body when she was younger.
Even though Denise is going through the process of getting her implants removed, Sami credits her mother’s breasts as her reason for wanting implants in the first place.
"I was 10 years old and like, 'I can’t wait to have big boobs like my mom,'" Sami shared with Bustle. "All my friends were getting boobs, and I was just like, 'OK, when’s it my turn?' I would always stuff my bra with socks and stuff."
Denise and Sami are a case of like mother, like daughter.
Denise understands her daughter’s body image struggles. "I was made fun of as a teenager [because my boobs] were mosquito bites. I got them done at the same age Sami is wanting to get them done," she shared.

Sami and Denise are both successful creators on OnlyFans these days.
Despite wanting to get breast implants, Sami credits her subscribers with helping her get past some body image issues, saying she’s "never felt more confident in my body."
After seeing how much Sami loved using the platform, Denise decided to follow in her daughter's footsteps.
"When Wild Things came out, it was a very positive movie for my career," she explained. "Then after that, you’re perceived as a sex symbol, and the things you do are perceived [as] sexual. So that’s why I wanted to join OnlyFans, because I was like, 'Who cares?'"
Despite her mom's warnings, Sami decided to go through with the surgery after all.
Not long after Denise admitted she was hoping Sami would decide against her breast implants, she took to Instagram to fill her followers in with a photo in a hospital gown: She had done the deed.
Hopefully, Sami's recovery goes smoothly and she ends up having a better experience than Denise did. You never know — she may not regret her choice just because her mom did!
