People from all over the political spectrum have been having some truly strong opinions about Kamala Harris' latest celebrity endorsement. Case in point: Elon Musk, who is now receiving quite a bit of backlash for his tweet about Taylor.

It all started with Taylor's Instagram post endorsing Harris.
Alongside of a photo of her with her cat, Benjamin Button, Taylor shared that she planned to vote for Harris in the upcoming presidential election.
"I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them," she wrote. "I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos."
Taylor signed her post as a 'childless cat lady.'
To end her post, Taylor wrote, "With love and hope, Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady."
Her quip was a nod to a comment made in 2021 by JD Vance in a clip from a previous interview that went viral where he said the country was run by "a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made."
Elon was quick to respond.
Following Taylor's endorsement of Harris, Elon took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on the situation.
"Fine Taylor … you win," he wrote. "I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life."

People were pretty disgusted by Elon's tweet.
"I don't think it needs to be explained but this is beyond creepy and Elon Musk is a weird freak," one person tweeted.
Another tweet read, "This might genuinely be the worst thing he has ever tweeted. Just a disgusting pig with zero respect for women."
"Stop making jokes about what Elon posted. What he did was a very public form of sexual harassment. It's sick, depraved and not at all funny," another person wrote.
Elon's daughter also spoke out about his tweet.
In a post on Threads, Elon's daughter, Vivian Wilson, confirmed that she had seen her father's tweet.
"Heinous incel nonsense is in fact heinous incel nonsense. I don't really have anything to add to it, it's just abhorrent," she wrote. "That much is obvious and if you don’t see how then you’re part of the problem. I would just like to say to my audience members, don’t let people talk to you like that. It’s disgusting, it’s belittling and incredibly sexist. You deserve better."
So far, Taylor hasn't responded — or even publicly acknowledged — Elon's tweet.
