Garrison Brown Reportedly Sent Cryptic Texts to ‘Sister Wives’ TV Crew Before He Died

TRIGGER WARNING: This post contains information about suicide, which may be triggering to some.

Although the family featured on Sister Wives has become fractured in recent years, they seem to be coming together after suffering a tragedy. On Tuesday, news broke that Garrison Brown, son of Kody and Janelle, was found dead by suicide at the age of 25.

Initially, only Janelle and Kody made statements regarding their son’s death, but since then, other members of the family have shared their shock and sadness over the situation. As more details are emerging about Garrison’s death, some clues about his mental state are coming to light, and Meri Brown and some members of the extended Brown family have commented about the family’s loss.

His final messages before he died seemed ominous.

According to reports from TMZ, Garrison died by suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and his brother Gabriel is the one who discovered his body. While his death may have come as a shock, the outlet is sharing that Garrison had sent some cryptic text messages to people who were connected to Sister Wives that concerned his family.

As far as we know, Garrison didn't share his plans with anyone.

TMZ reported that Garrison texted the group, saying: "I want to hate you for sharing the good times. But I can't. I miss these days."

Janelle was alerted to the text, and after a brief text exchange with Garrison, sent Gabriel to check on his brother, which is when he discovered his body. Garrison’s roommates claim to have heard a "pop" from Garrison’s room on Monday night, but it didn’t sound like a gunshot, and they never went to check on their roommate.

Janelle and Kody spoke out about their loss.

On Tuesday, Janelle and Kody released a joint statement about their loss on their Instagram account.

"Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown. He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory," their message said.

Meri, who was in a plural marriage with Jenelle and Kody, has also shared her feelings on social media.

Shortly after Janelle and Kody posted about Garrison’s death, Meri made a post of her own on Instagram. She used a picture of Garrison in his military uniform, sharing the joint message Janelle and Kody posted in the caption.

“Garrison, you are loved and will be missed! ” she added.
