There are rumors that Tom Brady deciding not to retire from football is what ultimately led to his divorce from Gisele Bündchen, but according to the supermodel, that's not true — or at least, it's not the whole truth. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Gisele opened up about her divorce and why Tom's NFL career wasn't the only factor in why things fell apart.

Gisele is on the cover of Vanity Fair's latest issue.
A lot has changed in her life over the last several months. She's started her life over as a single mom, and she's seemed to get back into modeling more than she has in a long time, which is understandable because she's been busy raising two children!
She admitted that her divorce from Tom was 'much bigger' than football.
Though there have been rumors that she gave Tom an ultimatum that he either retire from the NFL or get divorced, she says that they're untrue, even calling them "the craziest thing [she's] ever heard."
She also insisted that she is not "somebody who is against football."
She says they both changed.
"When I was 26 years old and he was 29 years old, we met, we wanted a family, we wanted things together. As time goes by, we realize that we just wanted different things," she told Vanity Fair. "It just means that in order for you to be authentic and truly live the life that you want to live, you have to have somebody who can meet you in the middle."
These two are hardly the first celebrity couple this has happened to, and they won't be the last.

In the end, she's rooting for his happiness.
That makes sense since, after all, he is the father of her children: Vivian, 10, and Benjamin, 13.
"If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him, believe me," she said. "I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true."
This can't be an easy time for their family.
Still, it sounds like Gisele and Tom are on great terms as they figure out how to co-parent their children together, and that's what matters most.
Hopefully things will only get better from here as they continue to raise children together, even if they're no longer romantically involved.
