Fans Throw Shade at Gwen Stefani’s ‘Plastic’ Appearance in New Video on ‘The Voice’ Set

It’s hard to believe Gwen Stefani just turned 54. It feels like she was just on our TVs singing "Don’t Speak" with No Doubt, and now she’s a coach on The Voice and the mom to teenage boys. Time really does fly. Although some of Gwen’s peers seem to be slowing down, she seems to be busier than ever. In addition to the new season of The Voice (the first without Gwen’s husband Blake Shelton), she's also promoting her makeup line. Lately, her fans and followers can't help but notice how fantastic Gwen looks, but some think that it isn’t all just the natural aging process.

Fans are criticizing Gwen for possibly getting fillers.

Some of them couldn’t help but comment on her appearance in a new video she shared on social media of her with fans on the set of The Voice.

"What did you do to your lips?" one commenter on X (formerly Twitter) asked.

A commenter on Instagram expressed a similar sentiment, writing, "Wow, can you say PLASTIC … she can't even smile straight."

Some seem to think Gwen isn't choosing to age 'naturally.'

The criticisms continued on several of her recent posts, with people claiming that she has gone too far with cosmetic treatments.

"Her lips are ridiculous … It’s like she can’t close her mouth. Embarrassing," one Instagram user shared.

"No!!!! I miss the Gwen before she started messing w her face," another person added.

Others are praising Gwen for looking so good.

On the other hand, a lot of fans are praising the fact that Gwen looks like she is Benjamin Button-ing her way through midlife. Fans heaped on the compliments for one of her makeup tutorials on TikTok.

"SHE NEVER AGES!!" one follower shared, while another called her "timeless and ageless."

She may be 54, but Gwen still wants to feel beautiful.

Gwen launched her makeup line GXVE in March of 2022, years after initially conceiving the idea. She has always been a makeup girlie, so this isn’t surprising. But there was a reason it took her so long.

"Especially at my age now, I feel like there's so many people that are around my age that just want to still feel pretty, you know what I'm saying? [We want to] feel good and wake up in the morning," she told People recently. She also mentioned that "it gets harder" to feel that way as you get older — something a lot of people can surely relate to.

She knows that aging is a part of life.

She seems to have embraced getting older, whether or not she has had cosmetic procedures.

"It's just a very slow process. It's hard to see it when you're younger, but when you're older, it's not as bad. You're still alive," she told People last year.
