The estranged husband of Gypsy-Rose Blanchard doesn’t think he really had a choice when it came down to their divorce, which is currently still ongoing. Gypsy filed for divorce from Ryan Anderson on April 8, 2024. The couple had first tied the knot in 2022 while she was still in prison for the murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. In an exclusive conversation with Us Weekly, 38-year-old Ryan says that he had his heart set on spending the rest of his life with Gypsy-Rose.

'All I ever wanted.'
“I just want to say, was I given a choice?” Ryan told the media outlet in a text conversation. “After what has happened, she hasn’t really given me any other option, but to try and move on. I married her because I wanted to spend my life with her. Gypsy was all I ever wanted.”
A source says the two are still in contact.
A source close to Ryan says that he and his estranged wife still sometimes keep in contact. “Gypsy and Ryan are in touch from time to time. It’s a random text message here and there,” they shared. “She actually sent him a message saying she wanted to apologize for treating him the way she did. They don’t live close to each other so they don’t run into each other, which makes it easier.”

Ryan supposedly isn't 'heartbroken' anymore.
As for how Ryan feels since the divorce filing, the source says he’s moving forward. “He still has feelings for her, but he’s not going to get back together with her,” they shared. “He’s moved on but not dating. He was hurt at first. but he’s fine. He isn’t heartbroken anymore. He has a big social media following and actually has been making money off TikTok and made money from the TV show, so he’s in a better place today.”
Gypsy dished on why she filed for divorce.
In a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight, Gypsy opened up about why she decided to part ways with Ryan. “I don’t regret the relationship with Ryan, but I do regret getting married in prison so fast,” she shared. “I really feel like it was just something that I had to learn on my own. I had to come out and live with a partner that I had known for three years … but actually living with someone is so much different.”
“It was a bunch of things that all complied together,” she added.
She is now expecting a baby with her boyfriend.
Gypsy is now expecting a baby with her boyfriend — and former fiancé — Ken Urker. “We are proud to announce we are expecting our first child in January 2025💗 @kenurker,” she shared in an Instagram post on July 9, 2024. In a more recent post, after having a non-invasive prenatal paternity test done, she shared the result with her followers.
“There’s been a lot of chatter around the paternity of our baby and while we’ve known for sure from the beginning, I feel that it’s finally time to put all these theories to rest,” she wrote. “Here are the results showing Ken is the father. Ken is going to be an incredible dad and we are so excited to welcome our baby girl into the world. 💗.”
