In today's age of social media, there are a lot of celebrity moms who can't share enough about their kids, and it makes sense — proud parents, whether they're famous or not, want to show off their bundles of joy to the world. But some of the biggest celebrities of our time were raising their families before Instagram and Twitter existed, and that means their kids mostly grew up out of the spotlight. They definitely got to have a lot more privacy, but it also means we weren't able to watch them grow up the way we have others.
Many of those kids are now teens and adults, so what do they look like now and what are they up to? From hitting Hollywood milestones like making their red carpet debuts to Suri Cruise looking like the spitting image of mom Katie Holmes at 16, it's hard to believe these Hollywood kids are almost at the age when we were first introduced to their parents and their talent.

Then: Leni Klum
It's hard to remember a time when supermodel Heidi Klum wasn't a household name, even as she went on to have children. She has three sons — Henry, Johan, and Lou — but also a daughter, Leni, who has ended up following in her mother's footsteps.

Now that Leni is 18 years old, she's gone full model just like her famous mom — she's even walking the red carpet at events. The older she's gotten, the more she's looked like Heidi, and that's definitely a huge compliment. Who knows what the future holds for her and her career?
Then: Suri Cruise
Remember what a big deal it was when Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes became a couple — let alone when they welcomed a child into the world? As we know now, their relationship didn't last, but the public's interest in their daughter, the tiny, adorable Suri Cruise, sure did.

It's not every day that we get a Suri sighting — after all, Katie tends to keep her daughter off of social media as much as possible. But once in a while, we can catch a glimpse of her strolling through the streets of New York City, and we're always taken aback by how grown-up she looks at 16 (and how much she resembles her mom).
Then: Hazel Moder
Julia Roberts and Danny Moder have three kids together: sons Phinnaeus and Henry and daughter Hazel. We haven't gotten to see much of their children, because they've grown up largely out of the spotlight, despite how legendary their mom obviously is. But Hazel recently made a surprise public appearance.

In July 2021, Hazel made a rare red carpet appearance alongside her dad at the Cannes Film Festival, looking all grown up at 16 (and now, she's a legal adult at 18). She looks so much like her dad here, and it's wild to see her as a teenager since we didn't get to see much of her (or her brothers) in their younger years — though we totally understand why Julia and Danny would want to keep their personal lives private.
Then: Hailie Scott
For just about as long as Eminem has had a rap career, his fans have known all about his daughter, Hailie — he frequently mentions her in his music, and it seems like she's been the main motivator behind his success. Although there's been plenty of drama over the years between Eminem and Hailie's mom, Kimberly Scott, hopefully that's all in the past.
Now: Hailie Scott
Hailie is officially an adult. She's now 27, hosts her own podcast, and is pretty famous on Instagram — after all, she's managed to secure herself more than 3 million followers. Her dad never appears on her account, but her fiancé Evan McClintock sometimes does.
Then: Kingston, Zuma, & Apollo Rossdale
Before their split, Gwen Stefani and ex-husband Gavin Rossdale had three sons together: Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. Through the years, it's been rare to see all three of them in the same photo together like they are in this one from 2014, but years later, they did come together for a special occasion.

When Gwen tied the knot with Blake Shelton in July 2021, the happy couple posed with all three of her boys for this sweet photo. They all look so big! Today, Kingston is 16, Zuma is 14, and Apollo is 8, and it's wild how much Kingston already looks like a carbon copy of Gavin.

Jude Law is the father of six children — with his youngest only having arrived in September 2020 — but we haven't gotten to keep up with many of them over the years because the actor tends to keep his private life under wraps. Aside from his newest child, he's also dad to Rafferty, Rudy, Sophia, Ada, and Iris, who is pictured here with her dad in 2012.

This photo of Iris at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival is all the proof we need to know that she grew up to be way cooler than her famous dad. Today, Iris is 22 years old and a model, having most recently worked with brands including Dior and Bulgari. Her dad must be so proud!

It's hard to believe that Courteney Cox welcomed her first child with ex-husband David Arquette the same year that Friends came to an end — 2004 turned out to be pretty busy for her! At the time, we didn't get to see many photos of Coco, but thanks to throwback pics on Instagram, we know now more than ever what an adorable little one she was.

Today, Coco is 18 years old, and seeing her and her mom side-by-side like this, it's hard to deny the fact that they're basically twins. (Sorry, David). This mother-daughter duo seem like two peas in a pod, and they frequently sing and play music together in videos that Courteney shares on Instagram.

Fans might be focused more on Julianne Moore's legendary acting resumé, but they're missing out on the fact that she and husband Bart Freundlich have raised two seriously cute kids who inherited their mom's signature red hair. Here are their children, Liv and Caleb, posing for a photo at Disney when they were little.

While celebrating Christmas 2020 with her family, Julianne posted this updated photo of her children together — and it's safe to say they both grew up to look even more like their mother. Today, Liv is 20 and in college, whereas her older brother, 25, graduated from college in 2020.

Remember when Phoebe was a surrogate for her brother on Friends? In real life, actress Lisa Kudrow was actually pregnant with her son, Julian, at the time. Of course, many years have passed since then, and although he was an adorable baby, he definitely doesn't look like this anymore.

In May 2021, Lisa shared this photo celebrating Julian's graduation from the University of Southern California, writing: "Happy proud HAPPY. And a little crying. By me, not him." Not only is he a college grad, but he's also an actor, just like his mom — and he even has a little directing under his belt.

Reese Witherspoon's marriage to Ryan Phillippe may not have lasted, but it did produce her two oldest children, Ava and Deacon. Here they are with their mom on the day she got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005, and they've all changed a lot since then.

As the oldest daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Blue Ivy has been more famous than most of us ever will be before she was even born in January 2012. It seems like she was always destined to be a star, and in this photo from 2014, she was only 2 years old when she joined her parents on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards.

At 11 years old, Blue Ivy is growing up so fast — and she seems to be following in her mom's footsteps, both in beauty and talent. To kick off 2023, Blue joined Beyoncé on stage during a performance in Dubai to sing her song "Brown Skin Girl."
