A video of Jamie from over the weekend has surfaced online.

In the footage, which was obtained by TMZ, we can see Jamie on board a boat in the Chicago River. As people on a passing boat cheer for him, he responds with a wave, also flashing a peace sign at his fans.

He was with others on the boat, who TMZ says appear to be members of his family.

This wasn't the only time he was spotted over the weekend.

The news outlet also reported that Jamie was spotted hanging out with family in Chicago on Saturday night, appearing to be active "on his feet" and happy to be there.

Considering some of the rumors we've heard about Jamie's health, this is all great news.

Not much is known about what caused Jamie's hospitalization in the first place.

In April, Jamie suffered a mystery illness or health-related incident while filming a movie in Atlanta that led to him being hospitalized. Very few details about Jamie's condition have been released since, leading many fans to fear the worst.

This boat sighting is the first time Jamie's been seen since the spring.

Last month, reports claimed that Jamie was in a rehab facility.

In early June, Radar Online reported that Jamie was learning how to walk again at a rehab facility that specialized in physical therapy to help people learn how to walk or to "walk correctly."

"Jamie would not be at this clinic if he was not impaired in some way as a result of whatever happened to him. But fans should rest assured: Jamie is in the best of care at this type of clinic," the source said at the time.

It's good to see Jamie getting back out there.

With so many fans worried for his health, it's great to see that he's able to do something he loved so much before his health issues earlier this year. Here's hoping that this sighting is a sign Jamie will return to social media soon to give us an update on his recovery.
