Eyewitnesses Claim Jamie Foxx Discussed Allegations That ‘Diddy’ Was Responsible for His Hospitalization Last Year

Jamie Foxx has reportedly addressed whether Sean “Diddy” Combs was responsible for his hospitalization last year. Jamie was hospitalized in April 2023 due to what his oldest daughter, Corinne Foxx, vaguely described as a “medical complication.” Eyewitnesses who attended tapings of the 56-year-old singer’s upcoming Netflix special, What Had Happened Was, recalled him discussing Diddy’s alleged involvement in his medical emergency. All of the eyewitnesses, however, have different recollections of what was said.

One person said Jamie admitted to Diddy's involvement.

Choke No Joke — a videographer, producer, and director — says he attended two out of three of Jamie’s shows. The tapings happened on October 4, 5, and 6 at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta. A day after the last show, on October 7,  Comedy Hype shared a YouTube video of an interview with Choke.

“Jamie has a special coming out on Netflix called ‘What Had Happened Was,’ and I went to the taping of it,” he said. “Diddy was responsible for what happened to him, and [Foxx] is the one who called the FBI on [Combs].”

Choke doesn't think Jamie was playing.

When asked if he thought the singer could have been making a joke, Choke replied, “I don’t think he was joking. Y’all can determine was he joking or not when you see the show, ’cause to me — I’m a new comedian, right? … I know when somebody’s setting up a punchline, and I know when you’re serious.”

Jamie allegedly 'called the feds' on Diddy.

“After [Foxx] said, ‘Diddy did something to me,’ he said, ‘And I’m the one who called the feds on him,'” Choke continued. “He disappeared, right? He out now, soon as Puff went to jail, right? We see him at the game with [Dallas Cowboys owner] Jerry Jones, right? … We haven’t seen him.

“As soon as Puff went to jail, [Foxx] was at the godd–n Dallas football game, right?” he continued. “And now he just went and shot his special. And who’s the special strongly based around? Diddy.”

Another eyewitness recounted what he'd heard.

Celebrity bodyguard Big Homie.CC also opened up in an interview with Cam Capone News. “I know [Combs] poisoned Jamie Foxx, and Jamie Foxx reported him to the FBI because of it,” he said. “Jamie Foxx reported this man to the FBI because of this.”

Page Six reported that when it reached out to him for comment, the bodyguard claimed that he got his information while hearing Jamie talk about it during two of his comedy show tapings.

A third source says Jamie made it clear that Diddy wasn't responsible.

Dennis L.A. White, another eyewitness who attended the second and third tapings, has a different story than the other two. Speaking to Page Six, he claimed that Jamie said, “People keep asking me if Diddy was responsible. He was not responsible. If he was, I would’ve been dead.” He did, however, admit that the singer spent a good deal of his sets talking about the infamous rapper and made several jokes about baby oil.
