The arrival of Jana Duggar‘s baby-to-be is right around the corner, and her sister-in-law, Abbie (who is married to Jana’s twin, John David) is expecting at the same time. So what else were they to do other than share a joint gender reveal party? In Jana’s newest vlog, not only did she reveal the sex of both her and Abbie’s babies, but she gave us a rare glimpse into a Duggar family gathering at the same time.
Jana teased the reveal with an Instagram post.
Before her Youtube vlog went live, Jana shared a photo of her and husband Stephen Wissmann standing with John David and Abbie at the gender reveal party, surrounded by pink and blue balloons and a sign that said “he or she.”
“Put your guesses in!” Jana wrote in her caption. “New gender reveal video coming soon!”
Her vlog started with Jana and Stephen finding out the sex of their baby on their own.
Stephen decided that he wanted to find out the sex of their baby as his birthday gift, so on his big day, he and Jana went in for an ultrasound to see what they are having. Stephen guessed that the baby would be a boy, and Jana guessed that the baby would be a girl, though they both said they’d be happy either way.
Elsewhere in the video, Jana shared the preparations that she and Stephen have been making for their baby at home, including the room that they will set up for them before they arrive.
The party involving Abbie and John David came later.
At the party, different family members shared their predictions for the gender. Abbie was sure that she was having a girl and Jana was having a boy, while her oldest daughter, Gracie, thought they were both having girls.
The big reveal came at the end of the video, when smoke cannons went off on each side of the expecting moms — blue for Jana and pink for Abbie. How exciting!
Fans are so excited for Jana.
In the comments on the YouTube video, fans shared their excitement — especially for Jana, who waited longer to start a family than many of her sisters did since she and Stephen didn’t tie the knot until August 2024.
“Seeing Jana so happy and excited makes so happy! She deserves to celebrate. And being able to do this at the same time as her twin is just icing on the cake,” one of Jana’s subscribers wrote.
Another commented, “How special that you twins could share this very special time in your lives together!”
Congrats to Jana and Abbie! It’s going to be so much fun seeing these babies grow up together.
