Now that Counting On is no longer airing on TLC and many members of the Duggar family have chosen to take some major steps back from how much they share on social media, it's hard to know for sure where their sibling relationships stand today. But after a recent outing that was shared on YouTube, fans are speculating that Jana is feuding with her sisters — and they might have a point.
Jana's birthday gathering was included in one of Joy-Anna's recent vlogs.
In a video that Joy shared on YouTube, we can see that mom Michelle Duggar and some of the older daughters in the family — including Jessa and even Jill, surprisingly enough — met up for pedicures and a meal to celebrate their big sister.
But now, fans think they spotted something a bit suspicious going on at Jana's birthday lunch.
In part of the video, Jana seemed to have been forgotten.
As The Sun pointed out, though she was smiling, some fans on Reddit thought that Jana was sitting away from her sisters as they all chatted and had fun together, and that she was pretty isolated from all the socializing.
"Is it just me?" one person wondered. "Seems like Jana is sitting away from her sisters while they carry on, talk and ignore her."
Some people thought it looked like Jana didn't want to be there.
"They lead different lives than she does now," one person added. "I feel bad for her."
It would make sense if there was a clear divide between Jana and her sisters these days. So far, she remains unmarried — and as far as we know, still living under Jim Bob and Michelle's roof — while many of her sisters have tied the knot and started families of their own.
It's hard to know what Jana's really thinking these days.
It's been nearly a year since her last social media post, which means fans haven't heard an update from Jana personally since she shared this post on Instagram about a DIY project she was working on in March 2022.
Hopefully, she didn't really feel alone on her birthday — that would be too sad to imagine.
Here's hoping Jana is enjoying year 33 so far.
She might be on a different path than her sisters these days, but it's clear there's still a lot of love there. Our fingers are crossed that this year, she'll share an update to let us know what's going on in her life — is there a courtship in her future? We can't wait to find out.
