Though Jana Duggar did have to wait a little longer than some of her sisters to find her happily ever after, having that time to participate in their weddings as an observer gave her a bit of an advantage as she prepared to marry Stephen Wissmann. That means that spending quality time making memories with her family before her entire life changed was a priority for her, and now, she’s giving her fans a glimpse into what her final weeks as a single lady were really like.

The lead-up to Jana's wedding seems like a whirlwind.
Not only was she caught up in all of the usual preparations and tasks that come with planning a wedding — especially one as big as Jana’s, with 500 guests in attendance — but she was also driving back and forth between Arkansas and Nebraska as she and Stephen (and their family members) were hard at work trying to get their fixer upper house ready to live in after the wedding.
Jana shared an update on YouTube this week.
Jana and Stephen got married in August, but since they kept their wedding a secret until after they said their vows, she’s only now getting to show fans the footage of what was going on behind the scenes during that time.
In the latest edition of her vlog, Jana admitted that she’d been spending a lot of time in Nebraska working on the house.
“Though I’m so excited to be getting married and starting this new life with Stephen, I know I’m really going to miss having my family close by,” Jana said. “So, right now while I’m back in Arkansas, it makes me really want to be intentional and to make some fun memories with my family and soak up these final weeks here.”
That quality time included taking her wedding dress in for alterations.
Her mom, Michelle Duggar, and younger sister, Jordyn Duggar, were both 0n hand to bring the wedding dress in for more adjustments. Stephen joined in on the other activities with her family, which included running a 5K, going out for ice cream, and line dancing.
This bride was busy!

She also offered a glimpse at her bridal shower.
It looks like she had a great time, with plenty of friends and family members coming together to celebrate her big day.
“Tons of family and friends came out to celebrate our upcoming wedding,” she said in the video, adding, “I feel so blessed to be part of such a wonderful community of ladies. I know I will miss everyone so much whenever I move away.”
Jana has kept busy since the wedding, too.
While she’s still getting fans up to speed via her vlogs, Jana has also been sharing more recent moments on Instagram, including photos taken at her brothers Jason’s wedding to Maddie Grace that took place in Tennessee last week.
It looks like Jana is loving married life so far!
