Who ever thought they would see the day where particular music would be played at a Duggar family function? Fans are in shock after witnessing Derrick Dillard, the husband of Jill Duggar, dancing to “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” at the wedding of Jason Duggar and Maddie Grace on October 3. The couple tied the knot at The Estate at Sweetwater Creek in front of 300 family members and friends, according to People. Jill, the fourth child of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, shared a reel to her Instagram that gave a glimpse into the couple’s wedding day.

Jill shared a three-part series of her family's road trip to the wedding.
In part three of the series, Jill showed events from the actual day of Jason and Maddie’s wedding. “🚗 Roadtrip to TN pt. 3 Jason & Maddie’s wedding! 🥹💗,” the caption read. The video showed Jill, Derrick, and their children at their hotel getting ready for the day. From eating breakfast to taking laps in the pool, they relaxed a little before getting dressed and traveling to the wedding venue. Jill then showed clips from the couple’s nuptials and the reception, which is when Derrick cranked that Soulja boy.
Fans were appalled at the music choice.
Many users had questions.
Although many fans loved the sight, others had questions. “Did anyone have ‘superman that h*’ being played at a Duggar wedding on their 2024 bingo card??” one user captioned a post in a Reddit forum. “And WHAT do we think JimBob and Michelle were doing this?? I wish I was a fly on the wall.”
“I wonder how all the other Duggar kids feel seeing Jana and Jason get almost normal weddings and wedding receptions while they got the weird discount fundy wedding,” someone else shared.
“It’s classic double standards for the younger siblings right!” another commenter added.
Jason proposed in August 2024.
Jason is the 12th Duggar child. He proposed to Maddie on August 24 after first connecting via Instagram in 2023. “On 8/24, Jase asked me to marry him, and I could not be more excited!!” she wrote in a joint Instagram post. “She said yes!!❤️💍,” Jason commented under the post.
The couple was super excited for their wedding day.
Ahead of their wedding, Maddie told People, “Just having everybody together just to celebrate us, because you never get another day in your life where all of your loved ones are together,” she said. “Especially for us, because I’m from Tennessee, and so half my family lives in Tennessee and Kentucky, and then we’re moving to Arkansas. Just being able to see everybody in one place. It’s just a big party where everybody gets together.”
