Jed and Katey Duggar are getting ready to welcome twins. In an Instagram update shared on January 9, Katey, 26, let her followers know that she’s at the hospital to deliver her babies. In July 2024, Jed and Katey announced that they were expecting – and their pregnancy reveal was extra special this time around because they’re having two babies instead of one. Jed was “especially thrilled” because he has a twin brother, Jeremiah Duggar.

Jed noted that the bond twins share is 'truly special.'
Jed and Katey are expecting twin girls. “As a twin myself, I’m especially thrilled to welcome these double blessings into our family!” Jed wrote in July. “The bond between twins is truly special, and I can’t wait to see them grow and experience life together.”
Katey shared a video filmed at the hospital.
On January 9, Katey shared an exciting update. Without sharing too many details, she wrote, “It’s time!!!” and posted a video in which she walked into a hospital dressing room wearing sweats and emerged wearing a hospital gown.
“That ‘I’m about to deliver a full human’ feeling,” Katey wrote over the video. “… or two!!” she added in the caption.

Fans shared their well-wishes in the comments.
“Congratulations,” one person commented on the Instagram Reel. “Praying for healthy mom and babies.” Another fan wrote, “Yay! Praying for two healthy baby girls and healthy mom.”
Jed also shared Katey’s post to his Instagram Stories.
The twins will be the first twin grandbabies in the Duggar family.
In July, Jed and Katey shared a “double gender reveal” video on YouTube. “We have exciting news to share – we’re expecting! But we were not expecting THIS!” Jed wrote at the time.
Elsewhere in the post, Jed and Katey added, “When we found out we were having twins, our excitement was overwhelming – especially knowing they will be the first twin grandbabies in the Duggar family. We appreciate all of your prayers and support as we prepare for this wonderful new part of our family’s journey.”
Jed and Katey are also parents to son Truett and daughter Nora.
Jed and Katey tied the knot in April 2021. “For a long time I have prayed for my future spouse, not knowing who that person would be. God answered my prayers far beyond what I could have ever imagined in Katey!” Jed wrote on Instagram at the time. “We have enjoyed quietly developing our relationship over the past year and every moment together has been amazing! I’m so grateful God brought Katey into my life and excited to share with you all that today she became my wife!”
They welcomed their son, Truett Oliver Duggar, in 2022. In 2023, they welcomed daughter Nora Kate Duggar. When Jed and Katey announced they were expecting twins, they shared, “Our children, Truett and Nora, have no idea just how much their lives are about to change with the arrival of their new sisters,” adding that as parents, they’re “excited to watch their bond as siblings grow and to see the fun and love multiply in our home.”
Since announcing their pregnancy, Jed and Katey have shared a few updates.
In September 2024, the couple shared that they had started working on the girls’ room. That same month, Jed shared another update, writing that his wife “made it to 22 weeks! Now to survive and thrive through the many more ahead.”
On December 23, Jed and Katey both posted a sweet family photo on Instagram. “Last Christmas as a family of 4,” they wrote in the caption.
