Jenelle Evans seems to be finding out the hard way what it’s like to raise a teenager. Her son Jace, who she gained custody of in March, has run away two times in as many weeks. Both times the police were called to help locate the 14-year-old. Earlier this month, he didn’t come home from school right away, causing Jenelle to call the police to look for him. He was returned home safely hours later. This time around, the teen decided to walk around Jenelle’s expansive North Carolina property. After a few hours without contact from Jace, she decided to call the police. Yet again, the teen was found safe — but now, Jenelle has some explaining to do.

The disappearance was explained away as teenage drama.
TMZ spoke with Jenelle's manager, August Keen, who said Jace was found at a gas station about 10 minutes from her home. It wasn’t reported if he was alone or maybe with friends. According to Keen, Jace’s disappearing act is just him acting out as a teen who wants more freedom.
Jenelle felt she needed to address the backlash against her.
A couple days after Jace’s latest disappearance, Jenelle took to TikTok to offer some possible insight into why he keeps running away. First, she said that her son’s actions were "being pinned against" her and that she was receiving "a lot of hate" in the comments.
She didn't go into too much detail.
Although she kept things intentionally vague, she did call out Snapchat as a "bad" app for kids.
"I will say one thing: Monitor your kids’ phones," she said. "Because, you know, I monitor my kid’s phone, and sometimes they get in trouble. Sometimes they get it taken away for the consequences to their actions, right?"
She made it seem as if Jace's phone has something to do with his behavior.
"Sometimes they don’t take that too lightly, and sometimes kids get really mad about their phones if you take them away," she added. She went on to compare the relationship some teens have with their phones to an "addiction."

His recent behavior may have something to do with Jenelle getting custody.

Again, she was vague, but she mentioned that "there was a big reason why" her mother, Barbara Evans, gave up custody of Jace, even though she’s raised him since he was very young.
"My son has been having a hard time for the past two, three years," she said. "None of this has gone public because we’re trying to keep his privacy — me and my mom."
Now, however, the news is out. Hopefully, they're able to work out a solution to all of this before Jace disappears again.
