This year feels like both the longest and the shortest all at once. It probably feels even weirder for Jenna Dewan, who gave bith to her son Callum with fiancé, Steve Kazee, right at the beginning of quarantine. She's spent her son's whole existence at home, but that has resulted in her sharing a lot of her mommy-son bonding moments to keep all her followers' spirits high.
Most of the photos and videos she's shared have been happy ones — moments where Callum is smiling or laughing. The kinds of pictures that could cheer anyone up. But she's also gotten real about motherhood a couple of times, talking about her breastfeeding journey or how staying at home has led to days of sweatpants and losing track of time. We so feel that, girl.
Jenna very rarely shares pictures of her older daughter — 7-year-old Everly from Jenna's marriage to Channing Tatum, so it's kind of fun to see pics of Callum all the time. As he gets older, Jenna might adopt the infrequent posting routine she's had with Evie, so we should enjoy the sweet mother and son moments while we can.
Baby's First Photo
Dancing around
Most of us parents are now very familiar with the Trolls World Tour movie, and Jenna is one of them. She put the film on for her kids in April and then danced around the room with baby Callum to the upbeat soundtrack. These are the kinds of memories moms want to last forever, especially Jenna for whom dancing is her career.
Mom life
This photo just screams "mom of a newborn." Jenna has a sleeping baby in her arms, a burp cloth on her shoulder, and a forgotten vacuum in the middle of the floor. "What day is it…?" she captioned the pic. We feel this one so hard. She also had Callum right as quarantine started, which just threw extra uncertainty into her routine.
Holiday fun
One of the most fun parts of having a newborn baby is dressing them up for all the holidays. St. Patrick's Day fell just weeks after Callum was born, and Jenna was super prepared with this cute shamrock onesie. She then upped the ante with a St. Patrick's Day Instagram filter for this sweet selfie.
Lion King-ing
It's always so tempting to pull a Rafiki from The Lion King and hoist a newborn above our heads like Simba in the movie. Jenna couldn't resist either. In this photo, she was celebrating getting out of sweatpants and into a dress for the first time in a while during this strange year of staying home.
Those little baby feet
Us moms are so strong, because our babies will do things like literally kick them in the chest, and a mom will just take a photo and call it a cute moment. That's what's happening here in this funny picture. But the fact that babies have such cute little feet helps somewhat with the kicking. Somewhat.
Taking a stroll
Being a mom in 2020 has been a struggle, especially for moms of newborns. It can be really isolating. But Jenna has always made the best of it, cherishing all this alone time with her kids. On this occasion, she took a stroll with baby Callum on a sunny summer day. We love her leopard-print baby carrier, by the way.
