Good news: Rumors that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez pulled out of escrow on their $34 million dream home because their relationship had hit the rocks appear to be unfounded. As it turns out, they simply decided to go a different direction, and given the sheer square footage of the home they just closed on, it's easy to see why they picked this one instead.
The newlyweds shelled out $64 million for this new estate.
According to the New York Post, Ben and Jen settled on the Pacific Palisades property shortly after pulling out of escrow on the other home they'd been looking to buy.
This new property, which cost nearly double the asking price of the one they were originally under contract for, comes with way more amenities and an unbelievable view.
Their new home has a high-profile back story.
The couple's new house was previously owned by Wall Street tycoon (and one of the city's richest residents) Gregory Milken, his wife, and the couple's five children.
It seems like a great spot to raise a family, which is likely important to Ben and Jen since they have a combined five children from their previous marriages.
Ben and Jen's kids are going to have plenty of room to roam.
People were convinced the couple had found their forever home in the last property they were under contract to buy after they were snapped goofing off on the grounds of the estate during a visit.
Now, we can see why they fell in love with this new home which boasts a bigger yard (the new property is 1.13 acres while the other one sat on just one acre).
Fans have been worried about the state of their relationship.
Back before we knew about this new house, which has six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, many of us worried that their romance had hit a rough patch.
After all, speculation was flying about Ben's sobriety both before and after his depressed Grammys appearance, and people have been whispering about just how hard this first year of marriage has reportedly been for the pair.
It seems like everything is going according to plan for the duo.
Other than this little hiccup, Ben and Jen seem to be loving their second chance at love. And with a house like this, which has a sprawling 13,000 square feet of living area, they're going to have plenty of space to grow old together.
Congrats to the new homeowners!
