Jennifer Lopez Sells NYC Apartment That’s Been on the Market for a Mind Boggling 7 Years

Anyone who has tried to buy or sell a house knows that it’s not always the easiest process, and sometimes, celebrities go through this stress too. Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez has been trying to sell her New York City penthouse for seven years, and after a lot of stops and starts, it has finally happened. J.Lo has been spending most of her time in Los Angeles with husband Ben Affleck, and they have a massive home there, and now it looks like her NYC apartment is no longer her concern while she's living and working across the country.

Jennifer bought the duplex back in 2014 for approximately $20 million. Then in 2017, she put it back on the market for $27 million. It didn’t sell at that price, however, so they dropped it down to $25 million back in 2019 in an attempt to make it more appealing. And now, according to luxury real estate firm Brown Harris Stevens, the contract has officially been signed.

This place was not easy to sell.

The sale of the penthouse has seen its ups and downs over the years. Dropping the price in 2019, two years after it initially went on the market didn’t seem to help either. It sat unbought for another two years before being taken off the market in October 2021, according to Zillow. Then it was randomly listed for five days in December 2022. It was officially relisted in September of last year.

Here are the deets.

Jennifer and husband Ben Affleck spend the majority of their time in Los Angeles, where they purchased a $60 million home in the Beverly Hills neighborhood in June of 2023 after an extensive search. The home is quite impressive, with 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms. Additionally, it has a sports complex with basketball and pickleball facilities outside.

Sounds like they're not missing her old digs!
