Jennifer Love Hewitt Hits Back at Critics Who Accuse Her of Getting Plastic Surgery

Jennifer Love Hewitt is clapping back at those who claim she had plastic surgery. The actress recently revealed a new shorter haircut in a reddish brown that gave big autumnal vibes, but her haircut wasn’t the thing her followers focused on. Although there were many comments praising Jennifer and her new hair, many people seemed to speculate whether she underwent some sort of cosmetic procedure that changed her face. Jennifer decided she was going to address the speculation via her Instagram Stories to let her followers know that she had heard their comments loud and clear.

She decided to have a little fun with the rumors.

In a series of posts to Instagram Stories, she shared different versions of herself to show her followers the way filters can alter your face, no plastic surgery or other procedures needed.

"So many people said I look different," she wrote, using a filter that gave her unnaturally large lips.

The filters helped her make a great point.

"I look the same as always. Couldn't look more natural. I woke up like this. Filters don't change you that much," she wrote, using other filters that heavily altered her face, including one that made her look like a teen, a withered man, and a toddler.

She reminded her followers it's all just for fun.

In another selfie that was still filtered (but not nearly as heavily as the ones before it), she wrote, "Jk. But seriously let people be filtered or unfiltered. Be good. Be kind. Spread love."

It’s a good reminder that social media really isn't real life.

In case they didn't get it from her filters, Jennifer also addressed the situation head on.

Deciding to speak directly to her doubters, Jennifer followed the photos with a video.

"Hi. I don't usually do this, but I've had a lot of people lately say that I've had a brow-lifting procedure. I don't know what that — I didn't even know you could lift your brows like that," she said, adding that the only thing she’s done to her brows is get microblading.

There was one piece of cosmetic advice she was willing to share.

She went on to recommend a product she has been using that she believes may have contributed to the speculation: Rare Beauty brow gel.

"I have been using this product and I'm noticing people bringing up my brows. I don't have anything on them today really, except this product, but it's the Rare Beauty lifting gel stuff," she shared. "I mean, Selena, 'thank you' is all I can say. I love it, so I'm going to put it up so that you know what it is, but that's what it is. That is the brow lifting that people are talking about. That's all I got."

Maybe now, people will finally move on?
