The Duggar family is known for their affinity for flying — multiple men in the family have gotten their pilot's licenses and even own their own planes. But obviously, this can be a dangerous hobby, and some fans weren't happy to see the way that Jeremiah Duggar may have endangered his wife and daughter during a recent helicopter ride.

Jeremiah recently taught his brother, James, how to fly a helicopter.
James took to Instagram to share photos and a video of himself in the cockpit as his older brother helped him learn how to fly the helicopter.
"Learning to fly has proven to be challenging, but also some of the most fun l've ever had!! And I also have an amazing instructor @jerduggar," he wrote in his caption.
But another post from the family is giving people pause.

That same day, Hannah posted a photo of her, Jeremiah, and their daughter, Brynley, who will be 4 months old this month, in the helicopter together, which makes it seem like they were on board while James was learning how to fly.
Obviously, flying with a student pilot may not be the wisest choice for people other than the instructor.
Some fans are worried that Jeremiah put Hannah and Brynley in an unsafe situation.
As The Sun pointed out, this ended up being a hotly debated topic on the popular DuggarsSnark subreddit, and some people were outraged that Jeremiah may have put his wife and daughter in harm's way.
"This is literally how entire families die. Like when a dad decides he wants to be a pilot and gets his LICENSE and then something bad happens to the little plane (lots go wrong with them)," one person commented. "I couldn’t imagine being so irresponsible as to let a trainee fly my family. Family values, my foot."
"I wouldn’t put it past these people to just trust God that James, a student pilot, would be okay to fly them," someone else wrote.
Hannah and Jeremiah seem to fly together quite often.
If you follow Hannah on Instagram, you already know that she's posted photos while flying with Jeremiah on multiple occasions, so it seems she trusts his abilities. But obviously, James is still learning, which is where the danger comes in — especially because he's been called out for his driving habits while still on the ground.

It's also possible that Hannah and Brynley weren't on board with James.
They might have gone for a ride before or after the lesson with Jeremiah in the pilot's seat. Because we don't have all of the information, it's hard to make the call about whether anyone was actually in danger … but we'd hope that both Hannah and Jeremiah would think twice before putting baby Brynley at risk.
