How Jon Gosselin Is Coping Now That His Kids Have Active Dating Lives

It seems like just yesterday we were watching the Gosselin kids toddle around in diapers, so it's hard to believe that they're out in the world starting romantic relationships. It sounds like dad Jon Gosselin feels the same now that his kids have dating lives of their own, and he's sharing his approach to the matter.

Jon opened up about his kids' love lives while chatting with In Touch.

Hannah and Collin are starting to mingle romantically with their peers, according to their proud papa.

"Hannah’s boyfriend has come over a couple times and we've gone out to dinner and went on vacation and stuff like that," he said of his daughter's budding romance.

This is a change for Hannah from her single high school days.

Hannah just made things official in February with her new beau, Lennon. From the sounds of it, he has her dad's approval, even if Jon isn't quite used to seeing his little girl with another man in her life.

Her brother, Collin, is dating now too.

It doesn't sound like Collin has settled down with any one person yet.

Jon revealed that he'd met "a couple" of his son's "acquaintances" over the years, but he's never really been able to gauge how serious his son's been about his partners because he's "not very open like that."

"He keeps to himself," the 45-year-old said of his son. "Hannah's very open and we talk through things."

Either way, Jon says he's figured out the perfect way to handle it all.

Jon said he tries to stay cool as a cucumber while his kids explore this part of their lives.

"What choice do I have? I don't have a choice. I really don't,” he continued. "I can say my opinion. But you know, it doesn't matter."

Honestly, that's a very healthy (and smart) way of looking at things!

There's no news on how the rest of the Gosselin gang is handling dating.

Kate, who has custody of the rest of their children, has remained tight-lipped about the teens.

We have to imagine they're all dating now as well, despite how hard it is for us to picture them as anything other than little kids. Watching your children growing up is never easy, but it sure is rewarding.
