Joy-Anna Duggar wants to prove that she and her husband Austin Forsyth are still just as in love as they were the day they got married, but somehow, she managed to do the opposite.
After Joy shared the way that Austin “flirts” with her while they’re riding in the car together, people are getting the feeling that not only does Joy not know what flirting is, but that Austin may be growing very tired of his wife. This video was supposed to be cute, but instead, it might be revealing something darker about their marriage.

In a post on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Joy shared what happens when Austin wants to flirt with her (apparently): After they got iced coffee together, he threw the wrapper of his straw at her. Because what says love more than pelting your wife with a paper wrapper?
Austin was driving at the time and Joy was in the passenger’s seat, so she took the opportunity to blow her straw wrapper at him in retaliation, which he did not seem too amused by.
“He be flirting with me like this all the time,” Joy wrote in her caption.
The video is not being received the way she thought it would.
This was a short post on Joy’s Instagram Stories that has already expired, but that isn’t stopping people from absolutely picking it apart on Reddit.
Joy could have been joking about the whole “flirting” thing, but not only are Duggar critics taking her words seriously, they’re also pointing out how dangerous it can be to do something like this while someone’s trying to operate a moving vehicle.
“Ohmygawd, it’s so funny to throw things at each other while driving. What’s the worst thing that could happen?” one commenter wrote. “Oh yeah, a fatal car accident.”
Another believes that if this is what Joy thinks is flirting, she’s teaching her kids the wrong message: “Because they are teaching their girls when a boy is mean to you they like you.”
Some think Austin’s way of “flirting” is actually expressing something way darker.
People are convinced that they are seeing major disdain on Austin’s face, and that rather than flirting, he was actually just trying to annoy her.
“He hates her,” one person wrote. “That video was so hard to watch. He’s miserable and she pisses him off. He’s so hateful.”
Plenty of others seemed to agree, with one writing, “I can’t imagine my hubby doing this to me, he threw that straw wrapper so aggressively like geez, and that face after he took his sip WHAT is that, it seemed like disgust? So funny he hates the camera but makes Joy so social media bc all the $$$ she brings in. Just like Jim Bob, he wouldn’t have had that show without Michelle birthing all the kids.”
If something is off between Austin and Joy, hopefully they get a handle on it soon. After all, they do have a baby on the way…
