Justin Timberlake ‘Not Concerning Himself’ With Britney Spears’ Book Amid Cheating Claims

Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman in Me, is coming out next week, but it feels like some of the biggest revelations about her past are being revealed this week as she promotes the upcoming release. In the process, she seems to be dropping all the bombshells about her relationship with Justin Timberlake, and if what we’ve already learned is any indication, there could be even more coming. But even though Britney clearly isn't holding back, Justin doesn’t seem to be too concerned about it.

Justin isn't saying anything about the book — at least, not yet.

"Justin has been focusing on his own family and trying not to concern himself with Britney’s memoir," a source told Entertainment Tonight. "In recent years, Justin has tried to be supportive of Britney from a distance. They dated so long ago, but he still has respect for her. Justin and Jessica just want everyone to grow and evolve instead of continuing to bring up the past."

Britney and Justin dated from 1999 to 2002, when the singers were in their late teens and early 20s.

Britney claimed Justin cheated on her, making the claim in yet another excerpt from the book.

The most recent revelation from Britney’s forthcoming book is her allegation that Justin cheated on her during their relationship, according to TMZ. Britney didn’t name the celebrity she says he cheated with — because the woman has a family now, Britney didn’t want to "embarrass" them.

At the time of their breakup, Justin claimed Britney was the one who cheated, leading to his hit song "Cry Me a River."

Britney claims she became pregnant with Justin's baby but had an abortion at his insistence.

An excerpt shared by People on Tuesday revealed that during their relationship, Britney became pregnant with Justin’s child. Britney wrote that Justin asked her to get an abortion, saying at the time that he was too young to be a father.

"It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated," Britney wrote.

Justin has remained supportive of Britney from a distance.

Justin has stayed largely silent on the subject of Britney and their relationship in the last 20 years, but he did share messages of encouragement in a series of tweets on X (formerly known as Twitter) amid her 2021 fight to finally end her conservatorship.

"After what we saw today, we should all be supporting Britney at this time. Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was," he wrote at the time. "What’s happening to her is just not right. No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body."

It seems he wants to keep the past in the past.

"No one should EVER be held against their will … or ever have to ask permission to access everything they’ve worked so hard for," he continued in the tweets he shared in July 2021. "Jess and I send our love, and our absolute support to Britney during this time. We hope the courts, and her family make this right and let her live however she wants to live."
