Kaia Gerber channeled her mother, 58-year-old Cindy Crawford, in her latest red carpet appearance — and the resemblance was stunning! On September 12, the 23-year-old actress stepped out at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of her new movie, Shell. She paid homage to her mom’s 1993 Oscars look in a similar white dress designed by Hervé Léger. In side-by-side photographs, the mother-daughter duo almost look one and the same!

Kaia's stylist opened up about recreating the look.
In an interview with Vogue, Kaia’s stylist, Molly Dickson, talked about the process that led them to recreating the look. “Kaia had sent me a mood board for TIFF and this was one of her references,” the stylist said. “I thought it would be amazing to pay tribute to Cindy’s iconic moment.”
She borrowed from her mother's jewelry collection.
Kaia matched her mom down to the shoes and accessories she wore. The model polished off her look with a pair of white pumps similar to the ones her mother had worn. She also borrowed from Cindy’s personal jewelry collection to accessorize with vintage diamonds and a classic Omega watch, according to Molly.

Fans reacted to the recreation.

Kaia previously opened up about being influenced by her mother's style.
In a 2023 interview with Elle UK, Kaia opened up about being inspired by her mother’s fashion. “My mom has always had very classic style. And I’ve always snuck into her closet and stolen her clothes,” she said at the time. “She has a less is more attitude to hair and makeup, which I inherited from her; I would say that neither of us is maximalist at all.”
She looks up to her mom.
Continuing to speak to Elle UK about her family, Kaia said, “My childhood was focused around quality family time. My parents both worked very hard but when they were home, they were really home with us, giving us all of them.”
She went on to share how much of a role model her mom is. “I look up to my mom’s career so much but I look up to her as a person even more.”
