After three children and more than two years of dating, former Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry is making it official with boyfriend Elijah Scott. On this week's episode of her podcast Coffee Convos, Kail revealed that she and Elijah are engaged. So why hasn't she announced the exciting news until now? According to what she told cohost Lindsie Chrisley, the couple is trying to keep things pretty low-key — so low-key, in fact, that Elijah popped the question in the bathroom.

Kailyn shared her news on this week's episode of 'Coffee Convos.'
As Us Weekly pointed out, Lindsie noticed the ring on Kailyn's finger (which you can see in this video) and asked if she was married. That's when Kail spilled the beans.
“This is the ring that they give you before you get married," she said, adding that she didn't announce their engagement because Elijah has asked her to marry him many times before, but she never "took him seriously" until now.
At first, she said, she wanted to 'play it by ear.'
What did end up making her take him seriously? When he eventually "just showed up with a ring."
"We’ve both been married already, so we both don’t care about the whole ‘get on one knee and make it all romantic and stuff. Because that’s just not how we are," she said. "He came into the bathroom one day while I was getting ready and he gave me the ring."
Don't expect a big wedding, though.
During the conversation, Kail mentioned that she doesn't like to be the center of attention and that a proposal where Elijah “left the ring on the table and walked out" would have been just fine with her.
This will be the second marriage for both of them. Elijah was married to Kayla Scott, while Teen Mom fans will remember that Kailyn was married to Javi Marroquin until they split in 2017.

A lot of life has happened to Kail and Elijah since they've been together.
After all, not only did they welcome son Rio in 2022, but their twins, Verse and Valley, arrived the following year. And then, there's the fact that Elijah seems to be an important presence in the lives of Kail's other four kids, which includes Isaac, 14; Lincoln, 10; Lux, 7; and Creed, 4.
Congratulations to Kail and Elijah!
Because Kail's Teen Mom days are behind her, there's probably no chance of her and Elijah getting their own wedding special these days. But according to the former reality star, it sounds like that's just the way she likes it. Congrats to the future newlyweds!
